A Struggle to Watch Hearings

This show is not working for the Dems. Does everybody agree the Dems are getting stomped in Nov? It is difficult for regular folk to sit and watch politicians for more than a few minutes. It is only sad the politicians think we enjoy watching them. They get their way so often it is too easy for them to forget we really do not enjoy hearing them talk (especially for more than a few minutes) at all.
I see. When you don't like the message you tune it out. These hearings have nothing to do with inflation or gas supplies. Since the GOP at large isn't participating maybe they can spend some of their free time attempting to solve these issues.

Why do you suppose John Eastman asked for a pardon if he did nothing wrong, not to mention pleading the fifth over 100 times in his deposition.

Mel claims he's watched most of the hearings but that doesn't mean he has to believe any of the republicans that have testified so far. And it's been ALL republicans testifying, not one democrat. Trump's complaining today it's all one sided, well, as chairman Benny Thompson has said - he's more that welcome to come in and tell his side under oath and finally reveal to us all of the evidence he has for the massive voter fraud he is still claiming happened.

What do you all think of the testimony of Judge J. Michael Luttig yesterday? Ted Cruz clerked for the guy, he's as conservative as they come and is highly respected by both republicans and democrats.

The man has a speech impediment which made his testimony a bit hard to follow, can't believe some are criticising him for it.

Luttig outlined in his statement how close he believed democracy came to the brink.

Here is Judge Luttig's statement to the January 6 committee where Luttig provided a sharp condemnation of former President Donald Trump's attempts to overturn the 2020 election, saying Trump and his allies "instigated" a war on democracy "so that he could cling to power."

This where Rich, Mel, and Greg come in to argue he's nothing but an f'ing RINO, is secretly a democrat, has TDS, and is a complete and utter fool.

I can only feel bad that so many buy into this, "We came that close to losing our democracy that day."   Maybe people are not considering how large our government is. TRUMP WAS GOING TO DECLARE THE ELECTION VOID AND GIVE HIMSELF ANOTHER TERM, OR TWO??!!
What is wrong with people? I'll say this goofy way of being involved politically would not have happened before the internet. Now almost anything can gather enough momentum to seem real and likely. The internet is amplifying what politicians are able to do.
Exactly what he said is wrong with our country. Read his statement, or don't. You are looking more and more like an ostridge with his head in the ground. Doesn't matter what a lifetime on common sense says? Sheesh, you are too far gone Mel.

It'd be similar to the huge binder containing Trump's health care plan to replace Obamacare that his aides gave to an MSM reporter. It contained memos and form letters and anything but an actual plan. In Trump world, it's not the content that counts, it's the size of the binder!
LOL. Luckily he didn't borrow any of Mitt's binders of women. Or maybe he did, that might explain Sarah Huckleberry Sanders, Kayleigh McEnany, and Kellyanne Conway.  grin

How would Trump ever be able to show the other side of January 6th? Who could he get to peddle his lies other than Rudy, Sidney Powell, and the My Pillow Guy?

Considering that's one of the foundations of our experiment of democracy, looks like you think the experiment is over. I'd say try to have a more open mind, but you say you are paying attention and then you disregard the testimony of the republicans who were there. Read the judge's statement I posted upthread. I have also noticed when ever I post in this thread actual video testimony of key moments that make your hero trump look bad you all just ignore it.

Well, Mel, I always thought you had a semi-open mind on most things. Boy, am I wrong.

They found one Republican, or as you say "a Republican"? I thought you said you were watching the hearings.

EVERYONE WHO HAS TESTIFIED SO FAR in the open hearings have BEEN REPUBLICAN! EVERY ONE! Not everyone below has testified in the live hearings, yet, but they are scheduled.

Please point out the democrats in the list. Trump appointed most of these folks, did he made mistakes choosing them? I thought he would only appoint the best people.
