As you know, I did not vote for President Obama's re-election and so did not vote for "any of the above." But WE who did not vote for the President have control over one of those things and its absolutely to our shame that we're not exercising control over ourselves on this secession talk. How about working to take the country back instead of talking like sore losers about taking it apart.
Rob, please note that I'm not imputing any of this to you. But this horrible talk has me REALLY steamed up. This whole dawgonne nation is MINE. I was raised in Florida. I spent seven years at Rensselaer in upstate New York. I worked in Florida, Virginia, and North Carolina. I've visited half the states in the Union, including California, which I and my family visited three years ago, Los Angeles (ran up and down Laurel Canyon Blvd and west Hollywood and in the Mount Olympus neighborhood.) Please, let's have none of this secession talk. Let's do what we have to do to get the country right instead....

A retroactive tax increase looks to me like a fiscal or civilian version of a criminal "ex-post facto" law. If so, it would seem unconstitutional to me. I'd be interested in opinions from lawyers here on this....
