This OCS was packaged with the Power-x-Switch Diagonal and provided roughly 2x when placed on the nose of the Denk diagonal with both switch arms retracted.

I have employed the Losmandy's counter weight solutions shown below with great success on both fork mounted C8 and C11 telescopes. There are a variety of dovetail options, the "D" series plate being the most robust and versatile. If necessary a second DA (or the newer DVA) can be employed with an offset weight to help counteract offset weight on the top side.

I use a common USB to DB-9 serial adapter on my PC and a 9pin DB-9 to RJ-22 4P4C cable wired per the diagram on page 124 of the Gemini User Manual found here:

Trying to view Jupiter with Nexstar 8SE

It sure sounds like the 8SE is not computing the position of the Planets for today's date and time. But you should still be able to locate Jupiter by manually slewing to it using the 8SE hand paddle.

Jupiter should be the brightest object found in the eastern half of the sky, just below Leo, due east (1h 20m, or 20°) of the bright star Regulus. Using your Telrad and the manual slewing feature of the 8SE, simply center Jupiter in the Telrad bullseye. Jupiter and three or four Galilean moons should be easily located in the 8SE using the 32mm eyepiece. Center Jupiter and switch to a higher power eyepiece (something around 10mm) for a closer look at the features in the Jovian belts.
