I never listen to Limbaugh any more, since I am working from home and am never in the car when he is on local radio.  Over the past decades, back when I used to visit clients and so on, I would listen to him if I was in the car during his time slot.  A couple of times a year at best.  I always thought he was pretty entertaining - I could never tell just how much of his outrage was real or an act.  And he always seemed to me to have a core of humor that is gone from his successors in the fringe media.

p.s. Russ is a careful reader and will be appalled that I am not worried about Trump having the nuke codes, since I phrased this as "self preservation by the Rs."  I am not worried about Trump launching the nukes though.  Doesn't Trump have to get a general or someone to co-execute a launch with him?  Also, I don't think he is any more of a threat to start a war than he was on day 1.  I sure will be glad to see him go.
