I own a small cable TV/Internet/Phone installation contracting operation and purchased 8 of the small Acer Aspire One netbooks for myself and my techs about 3 months ago. 1 gig ram, 120 HD, wireless, cam, etc. Got a good discount from 349.95 to 329.95 for quantity.

They are sufficiently ABUSED on a daily basis for what I consider a good solid 3 month evaluation.

Had to send one out of eight in for repair. Display went dead on it when one of the guy slammed on brakes and it hit the dash lol. Other than that they have been excellent. Portable DVD player cases sold for 24.95 at Best Buy fit them perfectly.

Recommend you find one with XP on it and keep away from Vista lol.....still lots out there with XP....

Ours are used constantly for wireless internet, GPS mapping and troubleshooting on a daily basis. Good product for the money....

Absolutely......We have a licensing criteria for their use and since you obviously dont have one you must immediately ship it to our location where we can safely use it fully licensed to do so......Study for the test for a year and once you get your license we will happily return it to you (at your expense of course)

Just dont lock the kids in the closet with it while you charge it unless of course you want to start over with new ones

You really only have 2 choices there.....the Tak or the SV....didnt you know real telescopes are white?

Never looked thru the others but what I can tell you is I have a SV70ED and dont care to look for anything else in the same class particularly anything that costs nearly twice as much as I will take odds they dont have anywhere near twice the performance...matter of fact they COULDNT .....it is more than satisfactory.

Have to admit that one sounds pretty cut and dried..... I believe the 1st step I would take before posting a negative would be to contact the guy that posted the negative with your story and ask if he would give you the skinny on their transaction.... IF the story sounds pretty similar and I bet it does.....ie excuses regarding shipping etc then I would proceed with the negative feedback and also contact Herb (if he isnt already informed)....

At least it was only $125 and not $550 like the other guy....... sad truely sad.

Dont have an answer to this.....but it is another example of why I only use paypal.....I only pay with it and I only accept it. USPS has too many pitfalls of delays and lost mail to suit me......while paypal does cost a minor percentage it has been 100% reliable for me and I have used it a LOT and not only here.....Missed out on more than one deal I really would have liked because the seller wouldnt accept paypal......Oh well

If you have a ST2000xm with a FCW-9 filter wheel, then the distance from the flange where the focuser extension screws onto the scope to the face of the filter wheel is 226mm or 8 15/16".

If you need the distance from the flange to the CCD Chip, it is 270mm or approximately 10 5/8".

This was not the same distance that I was told before, 10" to 10.25" to the CCD chip. This is what I found with mine, whether they are all alike, I am not sure. But this should be very close.

Searching for "meade service kit" or ad "629347" doesnt find anything, has the ad been deleted?

2 or 3 months ago I had a situation where I couldnt contact the seller after what I recieved was not as described, some pretty severe paint damage on a finder that was not disclosed. It rocked on for a couple weeks, turned out the guy was out of town but he contacted me when he got back and worked it out......a bit different I admit but again life happens and sometimes things that we cant control interfere with the best of plans. I would say be patient for a few more days and see if the seller doesnt pop up with an explanation. Keep your messages civil but insistant and firm. He may have shipped it and transposed a number when typing it in and went out of town.....The ol fart might be in the hospital for that matter.....lots of us ol farts in this hobby with health issues USPS has been known to be SLOWWWWWWWWWW too lol.

You have several avenues to go with, but I would say give it another week before you pursue anything.

1. Contact Herb when the time comes and he will "bond" with the seller.

2. File a complaint with paypal, I have only done this once and not for an astro related item but they fixed it.

3. You also have your credit card company to fall back on.

Default display dates when looking at the ads is around 15 days old ......if one wants to look further back you have to pick 30,60 etc at the top of the screen.....you can display ads upto 90 days old using that option if memory serves.
