Bush's Mega Deficit

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Trillions of dollars in surplus wiped out and billions more in deficits just around the corner, thanks primarily to the failed policies of George W Bush:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/02/04/bush.budget.ap/index.html
Even the Republicans are attacking the thing.
Sky rocketing deficits, a budget surplus from the Clinton era wiped out and no relief in site. I think Mitt Romney, who essentially proclaims himself to be an expert on economics, sums it very well when he says, "It's the Bush revolution"!!!

So, did we GOP folks vote our consciences, or . .

What a gem in West Virginia. McCain really shafted Romney. With the race between uncle Huck and mudslinger Mitt quite close, the McCain campaign told their supporters to vote for Huck who then pulled out a squeaker! I hear Romney is really PO!
Way to go McCain campaign!

If there's still any doubt...

For those of you who have either had their heads buried in the sand or elsewhere, or are in just plain denial:

McCain's VP

Posted By Rod Kaufman

IMO, it will be uncle Huck.
It's one way of assuring McCain will get the evangelical vote and more backing from conservatives. Plus, uncle Huck is a skilled orator whereas McCain has a boring monotone voice so the ticket will be heard in a more effective context.
Just think, it's only a short while until November and then we will have a total commitment to a century of warfare and the implementation of the revised theory of evolution in the advent of creationism.
What better way could there be to continue the Bush revolution?

Romney Suspends Campaign

You'd think he'd let his supporters know but it appears they were the last to know:

Now that's what I call organization!

Blame it on the genes

Posted By Rod Kaufman

It's an interesting concept, but I wonder how it plays out when you consider demographics such as the red and blue states with California and New York generally being considered more liberal while the bible belt is usually conservative. It seems that social factors and environment play a significant role, genetic disposition for introvert/extrovert personality: yes, political leanings: maybe...

It's Back To The Drawing Board

Despite the usual Republican rhetoric of "we're winning in Iraq" and/or McCain's, "Clinton (or fill in the blank Democrat)wants to surrender to Islamic terrorists in Iraq", the truth is, as usual, far from the minds of the righteous right:

Russians Explain It To Republicans

Posted By Rod Kaufman

The Russians buzzed the aircraft carrier Nimitz:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/02/11/russian.bomber/index.html
Translation: Do you want to go back to the way it was? Keep up with the BS of putting your missiles on Russian borders. Continue to have McCain telling America he only sees one thing in Putin's eyes: "KGB".
Yup, the Republicans, your bridge to the eleventh century...

US To Shoot Down Satellite/Rebates

Posted By Rod Kaufman

The Bush administration has decided to blast our own obviously defective spy satellite to the infernal regions by shooting it down with a missile especially modified for the task:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/space/02/14/spy.satellite.ap/index.html
The Bush administration got all over China for doing something similar because, in the scheme of things, only the US, in its rightous might, can shoot down satellites.
Nevertheless, the taxpayer satellite is defective and I want a rebate. And when the anti-satellite missile fails to hit its target, I want another rebate for that one, too.
Give me my rebates!

While you were distracted . . .

Some people don't feel the wife of a presidential candidate is suitable fodder for a political discussion. I do and I think they're fair game. They actively campaign on behalf of their husbands and make speeches for them and so forth so they can be scrutinized for their demeanor.
From what I've seen and heard of McCain's wife, we've don't have much of a first lady to look forward to in the White House. She barely utters a word and when she does it's basically in mono syllables. She looks like a plasticized barbie doll with a glazed daze on her face, probably from all of the work she's had done on it. She reminds me of the Joan Rivers GEICO commercial where Joan goes on and on about multitude of face lifts she's had. It doesn't appear McCain's wife can walk and chew gum at the same time. In fact, she appears to be a total air head.
In other words, she's perfect!!!
Mrs Obama, on the other hand, is bright, articulate, vibrant, and fully capable of executing the duties of a first lady of the United States of America.
In other words, she doesn't have a snowball's chance in Saudi Arabia...
