Mirrors in Space? Adding Dust to the atmosphere?

We already saw something about this kind of thing in the GW forum, where this one belongs as well...

An Encouraging Sign

Posted By Rod Kaufman

In a special election involving a seat that has been locked up by the Republicans for many moons, a Democrat has emerged as the victor:
http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-hastert9mar09,1,1396165.story?ctrack=3&cset=true
This special election has been reported to have been closely watched by both parties and is now seen as a rebuke to Bush and the fact that McCain went up to bat for the Republican didn't help matters either...

McCain's Lobby People and US Jobs

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Welcome to the news of the kind of folks cozying up to McCain:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/03/11/mccain.airbus.ap/index.html
It's no wonder McCain's idea of providing jobs for Americans is to have 40 and 50 year old people go back to junior colleges to learn computers...

Does This One Make Sense?

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Admiral Fallon is resigning because he says news reports of him being at odds over Bush policy on Iran are false so he's leaving his post.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/meast/03/11/fallon.resigns/index.html
Why doesn't the guy simply issue a statement repudiating the news reports he's referring to and leave it at that? You'd think he have a thicker skin than that.
It's as if he's saying I don't like the news reports so I'm taking my ball and going home with it...
What a whining crybaby.

Re: Does anyone think this is particularly funny?

This might be funny if Bush was being portrayed by an actor on Saturday night live or equivalent but for Bush himself to make light of his myriad of failures speaks to the true nature of his legacy and that's no laughing matter.
Like the saying goes, "somewhere in Texas, a village has lost its idiot"...

Another Romney Flip/Flop

Posted By Rod Kaufman

So now he wants to be McCain's running mate after ruling out the possibility:

But what can you expect from the guy who will do or say anything to get elected?

Bush On The Dollar

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Bush described the decline of the value of the dollar today as an "adjustment" and it'll get better.

Uh, huh.
Here's what Bush has really done about all of it:

Bush! Bush voters!!!

Hussein Obama's Dilemma

Posted By Rod Kaufman

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/03/14/obama.minister/index.html
Now, let's see if McCain will do the same with his guy or perhaps he already has.
Gee what do you know, another pastor turns out to be a religious zealot nutcase, what other world class "surprises" do we have in store for us these days?
I'd like to know why McCain's lobby friends in his campaign who were responsible for getting the US military's plane contract handed over to European contractors instead of our guys and their jobs are still in his campaign. I think that's more important than some nutcase pastor...

It's too bad Dubya didn't address the cost of the war in Iraq while he was discussing economics:
