Just in case I was not clear, I will vote for the candidate I think is best for the country in 2020.  I don't particularly like either of these choices, so whom I "don't like" the most is not really a factor.

Hi Russ:

All of these are valid concerns.  I am also concerned that the 1st Amendment will be under serious assault if Biden caves to the radical elements in his camp to get elected or afterward.  I'm sure you have read the Princeton letter and fall out.  I am sure you are generally aware of the fate of those who express conservative opinions on campus or in most tech companies.  Look how the left has treated J K Rowling, Martina Navratilova and others.  Every D in the senate supports this:

The real pandemic afflicting the US is groupthink.  We see it on this forum on the right, but it is pervasive on the left.  In much of America diversity is prized, except diversity of thought.

If one is a libertarian, all of the choices are bad and both parties have little interested in protecting civil liberties.

Somehow the quote button of your rabies reply became inactive.  So, it is good to know that rabies in raccoons is not that big a deal in Colorado.  This is not generally an urban legend though.  The CDC has raccoons as a leading cause of rabies, nationwide.  At least as of 2018.  The trend-lines are good:

Here is the real-deal answer on rabies in raccoons by the way:  https://avmajournals.avma.org/doi/pdfplus/10.2460/javma.256.2.195

Turns out we are both right, depending on how the parameters of the question are determined.  Funny how that can happen.

Bottom line, Greg should leave his raccoons alone, your is probably not rabid.  ermm

Last comment on this interesting topic.  Even though your raccoon pal is probably clean given that he lives in El Paso County, don't be messing with any skunks or bats.  You are already rabid enough!

A jury will have to decide.
Another possibility is that the DA will decide not to proceed, when the facts are fully investigated.  I'm guessing that the McClosky's have lawyered up big time.
