The budget cut was NOT a cut, only a relocation of money. Where do you assume the money is going? Halliburton, Raytheon, Boeing and the many other war product developers/purveyors.

In the end we'll be just as broke.

Consider a cake of yeast.

You add water and sugar, and providing you keep feeding it, it will continue to grow. Now the creator of this experiment probably doesn't give one hoot about the individual yeast cells. They come and they go, but as a whole, the colony continues to grow.

The yeast cells don't recognized the creator they just are created and die as they age.

Sooner or later the creator will get tired of feeding the yeast or it will reach a state that was expected of the experiment and it will die off.

That's probably the state we are in right now. The guy who made this whole mess doesn't really care about any one of us individually, an any compassionate feelings about the whole is only for achieving a purpose.

You are absolutely correct!!

The time around Dec. 25th used to be more like a festival of drinking and debauchery. It got so bad in England that it was outlawed. The Puritans even outlawed it. It wasn't resurrected till 1830-1840.

All the birth of Christ, Santa Claus, St. Nicholas, Holly, Mistletoe; the whole Maryanne is just a myth and from what I hear, sheppards in the field at night at Christmas in the Middle East, is totally insane! It's colder then the devil! That, and the fact that there was no Bethlehem (it came 600 years later) just shows that the entire celebration, as wonderful as it my be, started out as a Pagan myth that numerous religions capitalized on. What astounds me is that they all agreed on the date!

Howcum everything these days is a "gate" That's getting about as old as some of the discussions in this forum.

You'd think that our "smart" journalists could come up with something original wouldn't you.
