Meanwhile, Back in Iraq

Posted By Rod Kaufman
It apears we are about to learn the meaning of "fragile and reversible" as it applies to the winds of war in Iraq:

Obama or McCain on Foreign Policy

Posted By Rod Kaufman
Interesting poll results from other countries on their preference:

Note at least one country appears to be more interested in the outcome than our own.

Rummy buys a Vespa

Posted By Rod Kaufman
I'd like to see the huevos-swinging Bush voters in my town buy these things instead of their 4X4s that they drive. Along with their mega SUVs, I don't see their driving habits improving, either. Tearing down the left lane at 80mph, utterly contemptuous of anybody who dares to drive at the speed limit. When they feel the need to get away for a day, they load up their mega-trailers and\orRVs and carve their own path in their territory. In my town, it's "hey big guy, put the pedal to the metal!". Big, brawny, Bush voters!!!
They don't change what they drive or how they drive them, period!
We're talking Bush voters here...

Obama Attacks McCain on Taxes/Energy

Posted By Rod Kaufman
Obama is going right after McCain on taxes and energy, blasting McCain's partisan dribble along with McCain's so-called "gas tax holiday" which, according to recent news reports, McCain may be backing away from. Another possible flip flop in the making!
Go get him, Obama!

McFlipFlop

Posted By Rod Kaufman
I've seen McCain's stances on the issues seemingly change with whatever way the wind blows, and Cafferty comments on the same thing:
http://caffertyfile.blogs.cnn.com/2008/06/18/how-clear-is-it-where-mccain-stands-on-the-issues/
Overall, he's usually in the McSame mold and not the independent I (we?) hoped for...

Saudis To The Rescue?

Posted By Rod Kaufman
The Saudis are convening an oil summit on Sunday in order to rein in the high cost of oil. I hope they succeed. In return, they want the US government to rein in the oil traders and strengthen the US dollar. Seems like good advice. Anybody got a problem with that?

McCain Adviser: Terrorist Attack Beneficial

Posted By Rod Kaufman
Ya gotta wonder what kind of adviser McCain is bringing on board these days, especially when one of 'em thinks a terrorist attack on the US is a good idea:
