Let's see if the above permalink works this time. Here's a gem: the WH forwards the Iraqi PM's praise for Obama's plan to the news media!
Take a look at the comments below the link!

WH "Gets To Maliki"

Posted By Rod Kaufman
In a statement released from the press desk of the US led multinational force in Iraq, Maliki has now given a half-hearted rebuttal of his previous remarks of support for Obama's plan, reportedly stating his remarks were "misunderstood". Oddly, Maliki doesn't state which of his remarks were "misunderstood."
Der Speigel, the German newspaper which broke the story, stands behind its article:

NY Times Rejects McCain Editorial

Posted By Rod Kaufman
The New York Times rejected McCain's Op Ed on Iraq because there was "nothing new" in it, just a broad-base attack on Obama:

At least Obama put forth a plan on Iraq but all you get from McCain is an attack ad. Geez...

The Candidates and Mars

Posted By Rod Kaufman
I hadn't heard much about America and a manned mission to Mars since shrub got our hopes up about it '04 and then dropped it like a cold ----. Now there appears to be fresh political action from the two major candidates regarding the red planet:

It appears Obama's ideas are a bit more down to earth and a lot more realistic...

Record Bush Budget Deficit: Clinton's Fault

Posted By Rod Kaufman
The record Bush budget deficit is, according to the White House spin, Bill Clinton's fault!
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/07/28/2009.deficit/index.html
I wouldn't even expect that level of insanity from some of the conservative posters in this forum!...
