You could get lead in any form you can find and melt it on a stove. Use a SS sauce pan in the diameter you wish then keep adding lead until you get the thickness you need, remove from the heat and let cool, then dump it out.

26mm nagler worth it???

I have a 26T5 as well as the 20T5. The 26T5 is awsome in my SM11" f/5.47. I'd save up a bit more for a new one or you might want to run a want ad on Astromart. I ran a want ad for a 31T5 or 26T5 and a 26T5 became available first so I got it. I have not been disappointed and it was less than $500.

shipping boxes?

Look in the yellow pages under paper distributors. Most will sell shipping supplies including boxes, tape and bubble wrap or foam wrap. 275# double wall would be best for an outer carton large enough to hold an regular carton with maybe a layer of bubble around it. Be sure to use good tape and tape up all places where the seams come together, center AND side seams. Do not skimp on cheap tape and ship the fastest way you can afford. The less time the gorillas have their hand on it the less time they have to destroy it.

Folks just remember the number one rule.

Moon Filter

I've used the Orion Adjustable Polarizing Fiter on the moon and never noticed any problems at high power, and it is nice to be able to adjust how much light comes through. However, in all honesty I rarely use it. I just let the pupil open wide and suffer with just one eye with the huge blue dot afterward.

It looks like you can manage most of it but if at all possible I'd get the mirror box inside the cab on the seat and strapped in or wedged in. Part of this for safety some is for keeping the fine dust off and out of the box. I've been up a few mountain dirt roads in my time and there is always that one big bump or washboard that you hit and causes eveything in the rear of the bed to jump or jolt...

Refractor Objective Lens Brush

I've been using a simular makeup brush from IIRC a Channell makup brush kit. It has a black handle and dark brown to black hair. I rinse it when I think it needs it and give it a bath with a drop of Dawn dish soap and a lot of water then shake and let dry. I do use a bulb first to blow anything loose then the brush. I've been very happy with it and using it on my refractor and reflector scopes. Check out a good dept. store with a lot of makeup counters and you should be able to find makeup brushes.

Seeing double with TV diagonal

This does sound strange and certainly not normal. Did you buy this diagonal new or used? The first thing that came to mind is the mirror has been replaced with a regular second surface mirror.
However, almost everything would have a double or ghost image but might be very faint.

12mmT4 vs. 11 or 13mmT6

I've never used the 12T4 or 11T6. However, I've used the 13T6 for about 4 years in a previous TV85, TV101 and currently NP101 and SM11" f/5.4 and I couldn't be happier. I do not ware glasses to view and I haven't been bothered in the least with eye relief. My 13T6 always comes out of the box if I get a scope out.
