Whatever you do, don't disagree.

This is no longer a forum for open discussion.

Re: Who Can Throw the First Stone?

As the inexperienced novice priest said in the cofessional to the girl who said she had sinned twice.

"Go out and sin again, there three for $10."

Re: Has the Garden of Eden been located?

Posted By Darrell Fichtl

About every five years or so someone finds where the following are or had been:

The Garden of Eden
Atlantis
The Fountain of Youth
Shangri-la
Cortes's City of Gold
Captain Kid's treasure
How to really get into "The money pit"

And on and on. And worst of all, they all have "proof". Childrens fables all, and just so much nonsense.

Bible; Fact or Fiction

Posted By Darrell Fichtl

Assuming there was no religious section at the bookstore, where would you put the Bible; Fact, Fiction or Fantasy?

Is he/she/it all that they are cracked up to be?

I have to wonder what sort of creator, if there is one at all, that would create animals, including us, that have to eat other animals for their subsistence?

What sort of creator would require sacrifices of living things, at least per the Old Testament, for his/her/it's benefit and glory?

Do you really feel that there is intelligent loving design when these two things are considered?

Perplexing Question!

Assuming that everything, including the universe, has a beginning and an end, who do you think created GOD!

Serious Question

Posted By Darrell Fichtl

Okay all you top notch thinkers:

Where do you think heaven is?

Why do you think that?

Any sound reasoning?

Re: Are Religious People Delusional?

Are we voting on this issue?

Is this delusional by majority or what?

It all boils down to what you feel. What is delusional to some is perfectly normal to others. Considering past experiences, if I started believing in God, I know I'd gone batty as hell and am going to win the lottery the next draw!

Where are you?

Posted By Darrell Fichtl

Where are you?

That’s really a provocative question. Listen to your verbiage; this is my hand, this is my head, this is my body; but where are you?

You may say you’re standing right here. Okay, where? Point to you! No, I don’t mean your body, I mean you!

You can’t of course. Why? Because you aren’t a physical thing are you! There is a physical thing that you associate with you, but it’s not really you is it!

Consider a new religion; Remotism!

That states that you aren’t really here at all, but somewhere else and that everything that you see, hear, feel, taste and smell are all part of the “game”

The real you is off in another dimension and are controlling the game through your remote; that thing you see in the mirror!

There is no good or evil just part of the “game”. There are no winners or losers just you playing the “game” with other “yous” somewhere else in the time/space continuum. That may only be .5 mm away from where your physical body is!

The “God” that you’ve invented is a contrivance to excuse many of the incongruities of the “game”. The dreams that you have at night are the process to reset the remote machine for the next days “game” segment and because these require some direct intervention by you they come across to the remote as a sometimes senseless collogue of mixed up scenes.

But of course, I maybe delusional.
