I have been using the Astrotrac for a couple weeks now. In a nutshell it tracks very well for wide field, its small and portable, very well made, but will not handle anything more than a telephoto DSLR lens IMO. I attached an image made with a Canon XSi using a 200mm 2.8L lens. It is a 100% crop to show roundness of stars and detail. It is a first light of all equipment so be gentle smile

I shot 15 images at 300 seconds at iso800 and stacked them in ImagesPlus. I tried my Takahashi Sky 90 which weighs less than 10 pounds including camera and reducer and it would not carry the (very unbalanced) load. As far as a good portable widefield mount for DSLR I am very happy with it. If you expect to attach any telescope I would highly recommend a GEM. Hope this helps.

That is an incredible image with tons of detail! Good job figuring out your barlow configuration. I never understood why TeleVue doesnt use the standard 1.25" threads on their barlows.
