So let me get this straight and I'll and I'll just recite your requirements for hero status.  

1.  Shirts need to be worn depicting the person or his name.

2.  Rallies need to be held regularly for that person.

3.  Flags need to be flown with that person's image.

YOU gave those reasons which delineate hero status.  I didn't put forth those moronic assertions to determine Hero status, you did.

Hmm... I don't see any Jimmy Doolittle flags, no rallies, no shirts, so according to your requirements above, we don't consider Jimmy Doolittle a hero??  

I don't see any shirts for Martin Luther King.  No flags, no rallies for Dr. King.  

So then according to YOU he's not a hero?

How about Douglas MacArthur, Frederick Douglass, Audie Murphy?  

Have you seen any flags flying lately with the images of those heroes on them?  Have you attended any Frederick Douglass Rallies lately?
