Rod,
I know you post on a semi-frequent basis about water related issues throughout the world and more specically in California. I don't monitor this subject closely myself but saw this interesting article. Any comments on this...do you know of this woman? Of course anyone else can weigh-in also.
Thanks,
Mike

I don't know who this person is or what her agenda is. Most of my concerns on water supplies have to do with over-development and local water boards. For example, a number of water companies throughout California encourage voluntary or involuntary cutbacks in residential water use of 10% or so due to drought conditions in the state. But they're also the first ones at a supervisors meeting to claim there's plenty of water for every mega-development and mall that's up on the drawing board for public discussion. This is pure hypocrisy and poor water management on their part and when you email them and ask for an explanation you don't even get a response. The water "purveyors" as they like to call themselves apparently rely on the estimates of the consultants hired by the developers who always seem to find in favor of whatever the developers want and need to push a project forward. Then the water "purveyors" admonish the public because they say everybody wastes water and were all in this thing together!
