Classical Heavy Metal

Posted By Robert Smerdon

I could make a list but I won't.
I will just list what I'm listening to recently while looking above.
I'm a big fan of classical influenced heavy metal. so I recondmend a CD by the band "Jag Panzer", the name of the CD is "Thane to the Throne".
The whole CD evolves around shakespear's story of Macbeth and its slamming metal. NOT FOR THE WEAK AT HEART!!!!!!!

focuser suggestions

Posted By Robert Smerdon

I replaced my visual back on my LX200 10" with a 2" visual back from AP. now I would like to lose the image shift from the meade focuser by using another focuser, while still being able to use all my 2" acc`s ands EP's. I have the spring loaded mirror lock on it now and it helps but still have some shift. I don't have a bunch of money to spend, need to keep it reasonable.
suggestions please......Thanks
Robert

focuser options for SCT

Posted By Robert Smerdon

I'm currently using a 2" AP visual back on my 10" LX200.
I've installed the focuser thrust bearings on the stock focuser and also have the mirror lock bolt. image shift is very little while focusing and really doesn't bother me until I get down to around 9mm-7mm orthro EP's.
What are some focuser options to keep a 2" light path. I know this doesn't matter when I'm at high power with 1.25 EP
but I do use a few 2" EPs also and would like to keep the 2" path. I also do a little web caming.
From what I can see the NGF-S uses the standard SCT output threads and I would lose the 2" path.
Are there any other focuser options for SCT?
or I'm I being to picky about this whole thing? LOL

Dew and Laptops

Posted By Robert Smerdon

How do the rest of the laptops users here fight dew on the laptop.
I just lost my LCD, the shop said it shorted out from the dew getting in the connectors,, the laptop still still works if I plug it up to a desktop monitor. anyway I guess I have to bite the bullit either way, fix it or get another laptop.
So what do you do to fight off the dew?
