The real problem with the Christmas-war thing is..

Posted By Gary Barber

Imagine this Erik, We Christians are right and your open mindeness and asking others to pretend to believe in something other than our beliefs in God is seen as abomination to our Lord.

Pretend that we are right and you are wrong and that your attempts to open our minds to evil thoughts are seen by us as spiritual warfare between God and the darkness, so we refuse to do that.

Since your mind is open; imagine we win and your wrong, were then would that leave you?

Forget all about what upsets you in this world because no one, not even the greatest have cheated death, so pretend that your eternal life is spent in horrible suffering and pain because you worried about the worldy issues and not your salvation.

You there yet? If so you'd realize how inconsequential your worries are about religion today. It's the compassion of mankind representing the grace of God that matters. Your challenge is foolish to we that believe.

Suing The Military

Posted By Gary Barber

Rod ...

Serving and being subjected to deployment is what happens when you take the oath to defend the USA. This just blows my mind that someone serving in the military finds this to be unusual. Maybe 15 years ago these types could have enlisted and done there 20 years and never saw a day of deployment, however 9/11 changed that. It is what your job asks you to do, no different than the commitment you make to your employer for earning your paycheck.

Make no mistake, deployment is hard, it's difficult and for everyone I've gone on there have been challenges to make it all work. But in the end, it gives me pleasure to know that I earned my paycheck from my employer.

If the fellow doesn't want to serve, then he can always get out and go earn a paycheck from someone who will not call on him to defend his country. He signed the contract, so he gets no pity from me.

Separation of Church and State: Military

Rod Kaufman said:

Despite assurances from the Pentagon, it appears that a steady stream of religious fervor is being inculcated into our military. This violates official US military policy and appears to be unconstitutional as well:

It seems that this situation could only arise in the Bush administration.

We are not being subjected to religious fervor as you put it. Come inside and see what its all about, sometimes the viewpoint from the outside looking in is way too skewed.

We can be charged under the UCMJ for trying to introduce Christianity to those who are not Christians. What would you say about that? Can you be subjected to that as a civilian? Think long and hard and this has all come about under the Bush Administration.

President Bush is not the source of all the problems in this world and it's hilarious how some spin it that way.

A Nightmare With No End

Posted By Gary Barber

Well I just want to drop in my two cents for what it matters ... I am over here now, experiencing the life you guys all are watching on TV and let me tell you, you don't have a clue what you are talking about.

One generals assesment does not make "the right answer" I am serving with thousands of others who are proud as we can be to be here and we are making a difference in the lives of those who are oppressed over here. I have learned in the last month what heroes are Mr. Kaufman and they sure as heck aren't you, those that sit behind computers and pretend they know what is going on and you know what, that personally offends me and countless others who took up the cause of the defense of the US. Because that's what it is Kaufman, we are keeping it over here. There is a mindset amongst the extremists, to invade America and kill Americans. But you know what, they are not capable of doing that because we stop them here. They are radicals amongst good people, in the same sense that you are.

Don't give me your BS either that you're behind the troops, because your not. You and others like you poison the minds of untold numbers of people and you give the enemy further ground to continue the battle because they feel like your supporting them when you speak out against us. I'd ask that you give just one day of your life to come over and meet the soldier to whom you are giving the enemy aid to. The men and women who are your friends, neighbors and maybe even family members and tell them what your up to, attempting to weaken our government by using your PC to incite hatred amongst the people.

I live every moment over here waiting for my time to be up to get the call home, but in the meanwhile, Mr. Kaufman, I participated in carrying a casket of one of our fallen soldiers today and loaded that young man up on the plane to send him home to his family. He died heroically, honorably, and it's sad that in one sense, he gave his life so that you can sit your big pompus butt on the other end of the PC, spewing crap.

I have asked all my troops over here to do a few things, namely to be honorable and to leave a legacy. Because I have told them that there are people like you, people who will pat them on the back in one sentence and spit in their eye in another. I want them to be able to go home and when they exit the planes to run to the arms of their loved ones and keep their heads high and know that they accomplished a mission and that was the defense of the USA, so that you Mr. Kaufman won't taste the foulness of terrorism on your doorstep, hopefully ever again.

They are heroes Mr. Kaufman and this is the mission that has been presented and we will accomplish that mission.
