This is my first attempt at this galaxy. Seeing was worse that my usual 3-4 arc sec. This time it was 4-5 arc sec!

The image is LRGB at 60;20;15;25. L was binned 2x2, RGB binned 3x3. Flat fielded with a new home made light box (built one for the C14 and one for the NP101 all for $85)

C14+.63 reducer+CFW8A+ST10XE, yielded an f ratio of 6.55.

Last Horsehead Of The Season

There is a short window between the end of twilight and "Orion set," where I was able to squeeze in a final shot for the season! Exposures were no where long enough, but the result was still pleasing.

M81 From St. Patrick's Day

Took this on a very cold and dark St. Patrick's Day, with the coyotes barking and howling in the distance. I have been working this image all week. Couldn't seem to get the processing quite right, but here it is:

C14 and G11

Hi Mike. I used the C14-G11 for 2 years. Excellent visually, but not good for CCD work. Just not heavy duty enough for good long exposures. I now have an AP1200 and it is an outstanding combo with the C14. If you really want to do good CCD work, get the 1200 or equivalent...Ken
