Did you hear about the one eyed astronomer?

Now everyone is looking for the punch line. Unfortunately I am the punchline.
Due to a recent illness I will probably lose my sight in my left eye.

I have been an astronomer for more than 45 years and to say the least I am disheartened.

What I want to know has this happened to anyone else and how to deal with it.
I sure as hell don't want to give up the hobby but the are certain restrictions that go along with it.

I am really for someone who has gone through this and how they adapted.

Mounting a guide scope

Len,
I set up my FCT-76 using Parallax rings. The guidescope rings are attached directly to the top of them. The setup is very sturdy. Although mine is on a GP mount this should work very well on your Tak mount. The guidescope is 60mm.

Ask them for the serial number. The first two numbers of the will tell you what year the scope was made by Tahahashi. This scope could possibly be "new old stock" but the 152 has not been produced in quite a while. Also if possible see if comes in the original double box...if not...not "new".
