TAK FS-78 focuser question

Just wanted to know if the focusers, on both the Tak FS-128 and FS-78 are the same size? I just bought a FS-128 and FS-78, on Astromart, dont have the scopes yet!

It would be nice to switch the 2" adpater between both scopes.

Best place to repair EM200?

I bought a used EM-200 USD, seems like the motors dont work.
The Dec motor does nothing, the RA motor, will move east and west, but only in small steps! There is no onwers manaul, so i dont even know what speed this mount will slew.

I dont know if it's the hand control or motors, the drive works fine once i center a object!

Anyone know who can service this mount? Also i wonder if i can refit the higher speed motors with this mount?

Other than the motor problem, the mount looks like new.

5" Tak comes today== clouds

My 5" Tak will be here somtime today! Looks like the clouds have moved in. This will be my Tak super system, a EM-200, with a FS-128 & FS-78 mounted side by side.

Also i have a Vixen 114mm f/5.3 ED, i hope the Vixen rings fit the FS-128, that way i can swap out OTAs'a in a flash.
So far the Vixen has more than impressed me, it's very sharp at 300x, and has very little color. With a 22mm Nag the 114mm ED is a super wide field sky sweeper! Cant wait to get it to a dark sky.

Tak super system up and ready

Got all my parts to complete my setup! I have the EM-200 mount, with a FS-128 and a FS-78 mounted on top. Had the FS-78 out last nite, and it is one super sharp scope! It can handle over 300x with ease, and will make a nice travel scope.
Just got the tube clamp today for the FS-128, looks like its gonna be cloudy.

FS-128 handles 700x !

Had the FS-128 out tonite, seeing was alot better maybe a 8.
Gave the double double a try,just for the heck of it i went up to 700x! And even at that dumb power it looked tak sharp, nice round star images, seeing was chewing up the image at that high power somewhat.

Mars was ok but seeing seemed to really make it boil over 300x, it's still kinda low in the SE- sky.

FS78&CG5 a perfect match

Got my FS-78 up and running today! I had to drill and tap the dove tail bar for my CG-5, now i can use the Tak tube holder. The GC-5 holds the FS-78 and 2" diagonal, and the 22mm Nag like a rock! Its the perfect grab and go scope, i can carry the whole deal out the door. It's one super sharp scope, even at 300x the images are excellent, and with the 22mm Nag, it makes a super sweeper.
