M63 Reprocessed

Posted By Brian VanLiew

I have learned a bit more on processing to bring out more detail so I thought I would repost an image taken earlier this year to share. This is one of my favorites.

NEAT 5/22 Fading Fast

Posted By Brian VanLiew

I tried my luck with a first attempt at imaging a comet last weekend in between and through some clouds. Taken through 120mm refractor, mx716 camera, 90 sec exp, 15 images processed in AA3. I cropped it down from it's original size. Tried my best to bring out some of it's tail.

Auto/Remote Control Dew Zapper

Posted By Brian VanLiew

Is there such a thing as an automatic and/or remote control dew zapper control system out there? :S

I know about dew zappers, like Orion's, and the control boxes, like Kendrick's, which allows you to set individual temps of dew strips plugged into it. But is there one you can set to sense when to come on or can turn on via a RS232 link?

NGC2237 first try

Posted By Brian VanLiew

I squeezed this in when the sky cleared but only for a few hours. This is my first attempt at the Rosettte and I wasn't sure what the results were going to be since I had some images with aircraft lights streaking through. Luckily I didn't have that many (only 2 out of 20 exp. 4 min each).

Too bad my focus looks a little off. Hard to tell until the image is processed.

MX716
135mm Telephoto lens
14nm Ha filter
CI700 (Used DSC to locate and selfguide)
AA3

Thanks for looking,

Brian
