Bonny Lake Astro Works

Has anyone had any experience with the Bonny Lake Astro Works mounting rings? I am interested in mounting a Nighthawk to a 9.25 SCT. I did see one of their Milburn wedges at CSP this year and was very impressed by its fit and finish. Do the mounting rings compare?

Meade Series 5000 at WSP 2005!!

When I received my WSP tickets a few days ago their was a flier explaining that Meade will be at one of the vendor booths. Meade will be having a Series 5000 loaner program, just like Al Nagler did last year. If we're lucky he will be back this year doing the same thing. This will give everyone the opportunity for a direct comparison to both Televue's eyepieces and the new Series 5000's. Can't wait for WSP!!!!!

To Flock or not to Flock......

Hello everyone, I have a question about flocking my SCT. I have a Celestron 9.25 and was told that flocking the tube would increase my contrast dramatically. I just wanted other opinions before I took my scope apart. What do you think...... to flock or not to flock that is the question???

I am in the beginning stages (research) of making a large aperture Newt. The question I have is.... Can you buy a primary mirror cell or is this something you have to make? If you can buy them, where would I look?

Deciding on a truss Newtonian..........

Hello all,
I have decided to sell my equatorial mounted telescope and buy a truss Newtonian. I have looked into many manufactures such as Obsession, Astrosky, TScopes, Discovery, etc...... I am on a budget and would like to get something in the 15" range. I have been leaning towards the Astrosky f/5, but have never heard anything about them other then Ed Ting's review. Has anyone ever had an opportunity to look though one? How do you rate the Discovery mirrors? From the pictures, the craftsmanship of the woodworking looks nice, but has anyone seen one in person?
