PST double stack...

Posted By ralph marantino

:C I looked through a double stacked PST at the NEAF Solar Star Party and I was so impressed that I ordered one even though I have a .65Angstrom Daystar ATM setup for my Teleview Genisis SDF..still waiting on a list to get it from OPT in California..it is way worth the extra $800 and the resale vale if you want to trade up at a later date will be better..I have been a h-alpha observer since 1989 on a dayly basis and love the new cheap technology...Ralph New Jersey

MS40/PST .6A first light

Posted By ralph marantino

smile grin 8) well its been a week and I have about 12 hours of eyepiece time racked up with the SM40/PST and I continue to be impressed if its out there on the Solar disk I will see it just a wee tweek of the tuning knob and there it is I am so glad that I went this way insted of a single element system for my Teeleview Genisis I enjoy the greater detail more than the slight increase in brightness(the 40 ain't dim)that a 60 or even a 90 would have given me..I have been using Barlow Bob's 90mm Solar max for a few years so I think that is a valid statement as I have previously ststed the best $1,300 I have ever spent...Ralph
