Secondary offset

Posted By Dale Smith

Secondary offset is done with the spider or when the secondary is mounted to the holder? I will be attaching the secondary to its mount with sillicone II.

empty beams choice liquor bottles

Posted By Dale Smith

OK: I have been left my fathers liquor bottle collection and have no space or interest in them. Can I sell them here on astromart without violating the TOU policy or any ATF law? They are triple rinsed and empty, If that makes any difference. Would appreciate pertinent feedback.

Will A DS-114ATE Dissapoint A First Time User??

I think its a great place to start. Learn how to set up and align the scope first. Take your time thae stars are not going anywhere, at least not very fast. Then do a star test. You will find that it will be out of collimation. All that handling during shipping will shake the optics up. A local astronomy club can help with. Go to a few star parties with your scope set it up and see if you can check out a few different eyepieces. What you may not be able to see with the eyepieces you were sent may pop into view with a better one. What ever you do just stick with it. Lastly just remember star party etiquette, No White Lights!!

How can I remove secondary?

I did it! I used a coping saw with a fine tooth metal saw blade. Tried a utility knife, wouldn't cut it. It took about two hours of slow work but well worth it. Thanks to all ans clear skies

Mr Obama needs.....

Posted By Dale Smith

This is twice this week you have refered to our President as Mr.. He is President Obama, Commander and Chief. I'm out of here. Go ahead and delete my post and cancel my account. That would be just about what I expect from someone who disrespect the office of the President of the United States of America.
