Vixen Polaris Mount-Any ideas?

I have an old Vixen Polaris, which I really like. Only problem is, you need a scope with tube rings to connect to the mount. Any ideas on how to set it up so I can mount a scope with a dovetail? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Jack

Old C80 f11.4

I recently aquired an old Celestron (80's or early 90's) 900mm, f11.4 refractor. I am really surprised at the very good optics and color correction of this scope, considering it cost about $100.00. It came with a mount I was interested in purchasing. I see very little color on bright stars or the moon. Color correction seems as good as many of the shorter focal legnth ED scopes out there. I would appreciate any commements on this scope or other long focus achromats with regard to color correction vs faster "ED" scopes.

Is anything short of a 5 star rating acceptable?

A 4 star rating would be a B grade in college. (80%) Any one who has bought or sold on Astromart has waited for buyers or sellers to respond, "like new condition" may have been a stretch, ect. Yet if we started rating buyers and sellers with less then 5 stars, I think most folks might have an issue with it. Yet it seems that it is either 5 stars or zero! Is this right?

Improving Meade finderscope on ETX 90

Hi,

I picked up an older Mead ETX 90 Astro. It has a motorized fork mount, but does not have the ability to be connected to the 497 controller and is not a go to scope. I got it for a quick grab and go, but it is extremely frustrating to use. The little straight through finder is a very poor design. Any suggestions for improving ease of use and finder would be appreciated. Thanks!

Astro Tech 6" Mak

Anyone have any experience with this Mak? I'm guessing it doesn't beat the Intes Mak, but does it beat the Orion? I beleive it is a rumak and the Orion is a Gregory. Thanks.
