Connecting a camera to a TV 85

Hi Everybody,
I would like to try some digiscopeing and I could use some help on where to get started.The equipment that I would be using is as follows TV 85 scope, TV 32mm plossl eyepiece,Canon 20d camera with a EF-s 17-85mm lens and TV Gibraltar mount.
Some question's I have are what adapters do I need? What are some good WEB sites to do some research on Digiscopeing? What are some good books to read on subject?
For the most part I would be shooting wildlife photos and thanks for any insight you can pass on.

What magnification is my scope and camera at?

I just started trying to take some birding pictures with the Prime Focus Methods. So right now I am only using my TV 85mm scope which has 600mm focal length with a 20D camera attached. So my how do I find out what magnification my camera is taking the picture at?
I also tried to use a TV 2.5x Power Mate in a Prime Focus shot. But I could not bring the scope and camera to focus. Do I Need to use a diagonal with the Power Mater to add some focal length?

Looking for spotting scope recommendations

Hi Everyone,

I have been using a TV Pronto scope for birding. But now I would like to purchase a spotting scope that has water proof optics. So my question is how much will it cost to get something in the same kind of quality for color correction as the Pronto Scope? I do not need the best optics but I would like to have something in the middle range of color correction. Also if you have any recommendation on good spotting scope with a zoom lens would be helpful.

Canon D40 live view focusing

Is anyone using a Canon D40 live view for focusing your camera when taking birding picture through your scope? As in shooting prime focus. I would like to know how well it works for you. Thanks

CG-5 Advanced Series NON-GOTO Equatorial Mount

Hi Bill,
Did you ever think about just purchasing a GM-8 tripod and also using it with your G-11 mount.I say this becouse with the GM-8 tripod you can fold in the legs and carry mount and tripod out side in one piece.The cost for the CG-5 mount verses the cost of a GM-8 tripod would be close to the same. But then with your GM-11 mount you would be way head for being more stable.
