I recently acquired a Paramount ME.  Got it hooked up to my  computer and started it up.  It is extremely noisy.  I've had Meade scopes and a Mathis mount in the past.  Both virtually silent when tracking in Sidereal rate. This mount is extremely noisy. I read 53 db 4 inches from the mount. The operating manual says it does make noise and that is the "heartbeat" of the mount.  However what I'm hearing seems to be excessive.  Also if I put my hand on the saddle plate I can feel vibration.

I'd love to see and hear another Paramount ME in action.  I'm in SW Florida.

I'm thinking of getting back into the hobby after a hiatus with raising the family etc.  I have read articles here and there that have been saying that the Starlink satellites are ruining photos with the satellites streaking through them. I certainly don't want to put tens of thousands into the hobby only to have streaking issues in the photos.  
Just wondering what everybody's experience has been.  I'm located in Florida.
