While the media keeps trashing her it appears to me they would want Palin to be the Republican candidate, she couldn't possibly win. I'm sick of hearing about her. I think she's is irrelevant and does not belong in government. I'm a registered Republican and would vote for Obama before I'd vote for Palin.

Little did I know that about 15 minutes later, my know-it-all 17 year old son would acquire his first speeding ticket for going about 80 mph in a 65 mph zone. Fortunately, the cop wrote the ticket down to 74 in a 65, to minimize the points.

Dad is not pleased.

I agree that there's nothing unusual about this Secret Service procedure. However, in this case, it's not the students who have requested a meeting with Obama. Rather it's the other way around--Obama is the one forcing his presence upon the students. I'm guessing that if a student refused the background check that they would not be allowed to graduate on stage with their class?

He may even be right in what he said but he has exhibited an extreme lapse in judgment. Comments like these impact national security, foreign relations, and certainly undermines the morale of the troops he sends into battle. You just don't make "mistakes" like this. I really like the guy, he's a great war-fighting general, but clearly his judgment is questionable. By making these comments he has irreparably damaged the morale of the soldiers charged with conducting the nation's business. I don't believe Obama has any choice but to get rid of him. If he doesn't fire him he will look weak and confirm for many what they already believe.
