Very nice narrowband color. My wife loves this stuff so I guess I'll have to (I'm so sad) start working on that.
Thanks!

I think you're right about the mite. That's the right color and size. Good eye there Ron.

I've been lurking here for a while and thought this was a reasonable time to chime in. Jim, this shot, and all your shots have a great unique look with your special Artemis285 camera. Unlike anybody elses work and always dead on guided and processed. I wondered what that area looks like close up after I finished this "plain jane" Rho Ophiuchus. Vivitar series1 135mm lens at f2.8 on a sbig st2000xcm on a meade lxd75 mount, 4x15 minutes.
Am I not supposed to put a picture in your thread? Sorry if I screwed that up.
Thanks

What Bird Is This?

Frank,
We just checked our Peterson guide and he has a Hawaiian section but there's nothing even close. Kinda looks like some kind of pheasant but surely not a ring tail. Good Luck

And stick a camera lens on the thing for widefields that are better than a FSQ on a Astrophysics mount. Please chuckle now. ;>)
Thanks again

First Attempt at LRGB image.

I'll bet most of us out who attempt this hobby can sympathize. I've had nights where I wanted to throw my equipment and myself off a cliff in frustration. Good luck. HP
