GREEN DEATH: Ethos 21mm is here!

Posted By William Biermann

If they set the price too high, it will make it very attractive to draw competition into the field.....since there are other competing 100 degree eyepieces now, we may catch a break.

(See the market works.....sometimes...)

Let's see you spin this one....

I guess we are learning that our old "SOL" has the most significant impact on weather, and it harbors periodic surprises. So that appears to be the largest variable impacting weather.

Now its always a good thing to cut down on waste and pollution, but historically, haven't we seen that in evolution, one "species trash is another's treasure"? Therefore, some species will thrive in a new warmer environmnet. Maybe the condos on the coastline will suffer, but the Minnesota fields can now harbor a longer growing season as well. and won't a new species THrive on all that Carbon Dioxide? Remember, Venus did not have any species that could take advantage of the extra CO2..we do !!!

Explore Scientific new 82 degree EP, anyone try th

I've used the 82 degree 30mm and 24mm. Quite pleased. I did not do a head to head the night i received them, but based on past borrowings of Naglers, i'd say they are very close. If i were a professional observatory with gov't funding, i'd run with Naglers. As an individual, i chose to run with Explore: and i finally splurged and bought a parracor with the savings. The 30 is extremely large, i was surprised...so that could impact you if you have a smaller scope.

My Astronomy Outreach Project

Posted By William Biermann

there are hundreds of astronomy clubs out there, that is the mission to promote astronomy. Equipment can be as cheap as a pair of binoculars, i have given presentations to groups with nothing more than powerponts on a cloudy night, so if it your true passion, nothing will hold you back, and a 4.5 inch reflector can reveal the glory of the skies.

Last Shuttle Launches

ther entire space program was a result of many technologies coming together and a lot of inspiration.
I believe we will have some major breakthoughs, and the guts to pull it off again one day.
Right now, we are doing "enhancements to ideas with a dimminishing return. Send someone to the moon once, great ....twice great 3 time, ok, 33 times , well wait, what is this costing.
Same with a bigger space telescope.......Hubble is amazing.....Webb was ok, oh wait, it will cost 10 , not 20 times more than hubble.
Hmm
So we wait for the next opportunity....
It will come.....hopefully sson
Meanwhile, we really are still doing a lot of science.
