Posted By Alan Leutloff

Here is my latest pic of M51 taken last night with my Megrez 90, DSI-Pro and LXD75. 50 x 15 sec subs (it was getting late...hence the short/unguided subs). I like this setup!!! Alan

Astronomy Technologies Astro-Tech 6" f/9 Ritchey-C

Posted By Alan Leutloff

After a year hiatus at the hobby...I am getting back into astronomy again. I saw a great sale on the AT 6" ($299) and wondering if this would be a good scope for visual (and perhaps astro imaging). I have had in the past a Meade LX200 10" (loved it for imaging and viewing of the planets...but too heavy to set up)...then went down to a Williams Optics MH 90 for astro-imaging of DSO's--still have the WO. But now I'd like to get back into viewing the planets again and since this scope is at such a deal...would I be disappointed (I do have some extreme quality eyepieces down to 2 mm). What do you think? smile
