I have been wondering if there is a good way to track the ISS with my orion Atlas mount and image it as it crosses the sky. Is the a good program that I can use to do this? It would be awesome!

I have an Orion 12 inch dob and I am hoping to catch the asteroid tonight. Should I go with my panoptic 35 with 43x or with my pan 19 with 79x?

I counted 105 with about ten being brighter than Mars. #23 and #57 were both at least a magnitude brighter than Mars. I was surprised to see so many with partly cloudy skies but it was still worth the possible frost bite. Not fireballs though. I saw one not to long ago at dusk that lasted a good 7-8 seconds and went from horizon to horizon burning green and breaking apart. Easily a -5 or so since it was easily seen at dusk. Definitely an awe inspiring sight... Almost ran off the road while watching it!

It is looking good! Have you thought of using the High ISO speed noise reduction option and mirror lockup on your camera? The Long exposure noise reduction is helpful too. I usually just take darks instead to help get rid of any noise and bad pixels. Your's definitely shows some noise. Hope this helps!

I agree with you in another way. I voted for gasoline since it's only 7 years from now. Realistically hydrogen will never be developed and utilized that rapidly, but it would be a nice thought. Sure California is on the rise and want to make the hydrogen highway, but the rest of US just cant switch over that quickly. As with anything, the gov. will interfere with insane blocks. Some are of course necessary like safety testing and learning how to deal with damaged vehicles. It's also very tough for fire departments to work on cars with batteries and likely H cells. It's not as easy as cutting a few wires in current cars. There is a developer not to far from where I live that is pushing a H cell to attach to current vehicles and give you 100mpg+. Of course the gov told them they can no longer work on it, but no one knows why. Needless to say, they are moving to Canada to work on it

I live in central Illinois and there is a huge farm about 30 miles west of me. It just got finished and they're building another one about 20 miles south of me. They're all over the place! I wouldn't really mind one in my back yard. I have spent some time near them and they do make a decent amount of noise as the wind speeds over the blades, but the amount of money you get for renting the land to the electrical company more than makes up for a little noise. Not to mention they look cool!
