Has anybody tried barlowing the new Hyperion 24mm Ep? Just curious if the longer focal length and 20mm eye relief might be too much for this? I'm thinking of just barlowing it with my TV 1.25" 2x barlow for 100x in my xt10i instead of getting the 13mm version also and maybe this will clean up the edge too without any noticable light loss?

Does anyone know of a narrowband UHC filter that can safely be cleaned similar to an eyepiece? I got the NPB filter and it said that fingerprints and cleaning will ruin the coating and you should determine if its worth cleaning. It would be nice not to have to worry everytime I screw it on.

My Intelliscope Computer stopped tracking correctly. After I calibrate it, it's always off by a huge amount even though the computer thinks its working correctly (arrows and actual computer works fine) I've been using the same stars to calibrate it for the 2 years I've had it and tried different stars, positive it's not my error. Must be something with the telescope or base and the wiring? I remember a few months ago the alt. (vertical) direction stopped tracking but I fixed it by tightening the swivel knobs and restarting the calibration. Has anyone had any problems with their Orion Intelliscope Dobs and could recommend any suggestions on what to replace or try to repair??? Thanks!

My Orion XT10i focuser no longer slides up and down with the weight of an eyepiece in it. It slides up and down without anything in the focuser(loosely)but no longer has the weight(friction)to lift and eyepice with the knobs. It just slides down slowly. How do I increase the friction on it again? I took the bottom of the turn knob attachment off but the knob just slides in a plastic indented piece opposite of the screwed in cover.

I just wanted to say thanks! I really appreciate your help, you guys are great! I ordered the GSO 2" 30mm SuperView for $55 (free shipping) after the Astromart 5% discount. I was thinking about ordering their 2" 2x ED barlow(found it cheaper at Garrett Opticals for 49+7 shipping, I think its exacly the same?). Would this be your recommendation for an inexpensive barlow,to be used also with 1.25" eyepieces?

I read in a blog the Baader and astronomik nebula filters are made differently and can safely be cleaned without worry off ruining the coatings? Do you guys agree?
