Stainless Steel "J" BoltsPosted By Ed Abel |
Hi! We are planning the construction of our observatory and need a source for the stainless steel "J" bolts for anchoring the AP1200's permanent pier, as well as some other piers. The largest size I've run across is 3/8ths, except for PierPlates which has the 3/4" diameter bolts. Does anyone have other suppliers, please?

Hi! "Bruise": well-named! My guess is that it is part of the Hyginus rill/crater formations in Mare Vaporum. See if it fits with http://freespace.virgin.net/philip.masding/Moon%202.htm

Use of the Webcam or Video Camera is the easiest way for me to collimate. I am free to stand at the front of the SCT, adjust the collimation bolt(s), and see in real time what the effect is. My arms are not quite long enough for the C-14 to look in the eyepiece and adjust the bolt(s). Also, with my eyes it is MUCH easier to see the monitor screen than the view through the eyepiece.
