As of about 1700 Pacific time, there remain a few bugs that hopefully will get fixed. I have noted these several times this last week:

1. Time stamp on Classifieds is not working. Today's ads are showing up as "Yesterday" and "Today" and are only a few minutes apart from one another. 

2. My Auction database remains corrupted with some items that "I won" even though I have never seen them. Item I lost that I actually won, etc and just about every other combination.

HI, and thanks for this list of fixes and updates that are being addressed:


There are two fixes left on my list:

1. The time/date/yesterday/today stamp on the classifieds is still switching at random times between "today" and "yesterday". For example there was a classified today at about 4:02 PM listed as "today" and one that came in right before it at about 3:58 PM, listed as "yesterday". At first I thought it was a midnight shift, but then saw examples like this in the middle of the day. Then, I thought it might be a GMT thing, and reset my account to GMT....same thing....switches whole days within a few minutes of each other at what I think is random times during the day. 
I don't know programming at your level, but maybe just remove "today", "yesterday" and put the actual time notation?

2. Auction pagination is back (thanks!), but the database seems corrupted. Auctions that I lost, but are listed in wins. Auctions that I won, but are listed in lost. My own auctions listed several different times, with different photos from the actual items, etc.   I have no ideas on that one.

Thanks, and the auctions are getting closer.....the duplicates have been removed in my own auctions that I sold (thanks!), but there remain items that I won, but are listed in "did not win" and the reverse.  It is so close now, that it might  not be worth the effort on your part to try to sort out the database.

The time stamps from what I can see (on at least 3 different computers) on a regular classified report are still changing between "today and yesterday" at random times. These are not the ads that have paid the extra amount to be at the top of the list...these are the "regular ads"

I have attached an image from the screen that I captured just a few minutes ago that shows the switch between about 4:02 PM and 3:58 PM between "today" and "yesterday".\   These were just from this afternoon. I can see this behavior on my home computer, at work, and on my Android mobile.   You do not see this in your systems?

Breakthrough on the unusual time stamp behavior in Classifieds.

I am still getting shifting between "yesterday" and "today" at unusual times when I am looking at classified listings. So I did a test:

1. Looked at classifieds WITHOUT signing in.
vs
2. Same listing when signed in.  

I realize that the time is automatically adjusted to my time zone...no problem...it has been that way in all versions and works fine.

The results give a hint to the issue:

WITHOUT signing in, see the first image for two listings made a few minutes apart from one another. One was done just a few minutes before midnight and is listed as "Yesterday"....just like it should
The second listing a few minutes after midnight shows "Today"...just like it should.

However, when I sign in and the time shifts over to -8GMT (Alaska), then the problem shows up as shown in the second image.
It correctly adjusts by 8 hrs, but keeps the "Yesterday" label for the first one, and keeps the "Today" label for the latter.

I think this means that the coding for the "label/badge" of Yesterday and Today DO NOT CORRECT FOR TIME ZONES. A listing is assigned its label/badge in the native format of whatever time zone your servers are set to, and then the badge does not change when we sign in and the system adjusts the time.

Solution?  Just use the actual time and remove the badges, or adjust the coding so that the badges change along with time zone?

I can only seem to load one image per message, so the first one is WITHOUT signing in, and shows the time around midnight.   I will load another message with the time zone corrected image for about 4PM

YES!!!   That is it, and the fix worked....the time stamp/badge/label shows up correctly now.....thank you for working on this and finding the coding solution.

I thought we had it.....but not quite.

The system switched at what I think must have been GMT midnight to "yesterday".  So, all the classifieds coming in tonight (eg 1800 hr) are now saying "yesterday" because it is yesterday GMT.  I now see all of the classifieds that  came in today, are now saying "yesterday". Something in the system is still coding  "yesterday" and "today" based on GMT, not on our own time zones.

Thanks for continuing to work on this. 


1.  If NOT logged in, all is fine. "Yesterday" and "Today" are correct,  because it defaults to GMT and switches the label at 0000GMT.  

2.When I log in, the -8GMT works just fine for the digital time stamp (e.g. it shows 0630 AM right now)....that has been OK with the new Astromart site from the start.


3. The issue is when does the system apply the badge "Yesterday" if I am logged in?  At my "yesterday" (-8GMT) or the system "yesterday" (0000 GMT?)


4. Now, at 0630 all my logged in labels are correct, because it is only  1430 in London.  The test will come at 1600 local Alaska time, when "today" becomes "yesterday" GMT. If fixed, "today" will remain "today". If not fixed, "Today" will become "Yesterday" and items listed after 1600 local AK time will show up as "Yesterday".


So, I won't know the answer for until 1600 local.

TIME BADGE ERROR STILL THERE

I logged in a few minutes ago, and at 1600 local Alaska time, all of the recent classifieds were relabelled from TODAY to YESTERDAY...   This was our prediction if the badging is taking its data from midnight GMT. 

So, the digital time  at -8 GMT is correct as shown in the photo, but they get relabeled based on GMT midnight switching to Yesterday.

YIPES....if you need more data, I wrote this just an hour ago, and it shows as YESTERDAY in the label!!!!1

Ditto with the posts right after mine talking about the sizing on the laptop AND answer from Donald.

Do you see the time badge label issue on your answer?  You wrote it just 20 min ago, but it shows up as "YESTERDAY".  "Yesterday" is taking its data from when GMT goes to midnight, not when we are writing or when classifieds are being posted on local time zones.
