Well for starters, without the moon the rotation speed of the earth would be about 6 hours. Life as we know it would not exist.

As for the validity of the rest of the astrological "stuff" it's nonsense BUT people that are into that sort of thing professionally use it as a "focus" much like Tarot cards, crystal balls, etc. Used in that respect it may have some validity. If you could use a pile of horse manure as a focus it would work just as well.

"Come to the edge," Life said.
They said,"We are afraid."
"Come to the edge," Life said.
They came,
It pushed them...
And they Flew!

Sandy:

Consider Astrology like a microscope. The microscope by itself does absolutely nothing. It merely allows the user to focus on what they are observing.

Same way with astrology, by itself, like reading it in the papers, does absolutely nothing. It merely allows the user (practitioner) to focus on the subject.

Re: Cuts to the budget

That'll be just great then won't it? We'll be left with:

Reality shows
Sit coms that are stupid and aren't funny
Cop shows with blood and guts
House fixer up shows

And if you think PBS is biased it doesn't hold a candle to CNN. We can p__s away 10B and month on Iraq but PBS can suck it up, huh?

I think your priorities along with G.W. Bush's are kind of jackass backward!

Two simple questions:

1. How many think George Orwell had it right, but was off by 20-30 years?

2. How many think that Arthur C. Clarke had it wrong, considering the current political climate, we'll never get there?

What happens now?

Posted By Darrell Fichtl

Harry Whittington, the guy Cheney shot, has now had a heart attack. What I read it was supposedly caused by the shot he received. What happens if he dies? I mean Cheney was hunting illegally wasn't he?

But of course, before we (humanity) ever came into existence!

Well, at least by popular presumptions anyway.

Man Sentenced For Sheep Sodomy

For 2 1/2 to 20 years! Give me a break!

There's and old joke about such things. When the new kid to the sheep herding crew finally broke down after a couple of months on the range, and did the same thing the others did they all started to laugh at him

When the kid asked what they were laughing about, that they did the same thing, they said, "You picked the homeliest one!"
