The reddest, rightist, righty guy here predicted a red tsunami

Posted By Jim Moscheck

Well, maybe in Florida and Texas. Historically, the party who holds the WH loses 28 seats in the following midterms. Currently they are -6.

Inflation, low approval ratings for Biden, the economy, inflation, crime, immigration and illegal border crossings, inflation, abortion, and the American people didn't flinch. Except for that bozo in Georgia most Trump endorsed candidates lost.

By all means, keep supporting Trump, it's working out pretty well, huh? He lost the WH, Senate, and House in 2020. Like I said in another thread, hopefully he'll have a presidental election rally somewhere else the day before the potential runoff in Georgia. He screwed them once to lose the Senate, no reason to think he won't do it again.

Maybe you all can finally put Trump out to pasture. He can then make a TV comeback as host, with Dr. Oz as his sidekick, in the return of The Biggest Loser on NBC.

He must be busy delivering that vanity. Must be tough for him to live in a blue state.

GO BLUE!!!

Posted By Jim Moscheck

My sister just texted me that the Michigan Senate and House just turned blue. For the first time in years!

Dare I say Michigan is one the most progressive states?

Attorney General Dana Nessel tweeted she's the only one that knows how to do the Charlie's Angels pose.

We have a pretty good football team, too.  GO BLUE!!!

Katy Tur is obviously a graduate from MIT.

With this type of forward thinking, expect a cure for cancer out of her any day now.

Oh wait a minute...  my mistake.  I forgot that the left has already saddled us with a President who has brain damage, Joe Biden.

As Emily Litella would say on SNL... Nevermind.   smile
If Gilda was alive I'm sure she'd ask you to not any use her characters for your imbecilic "jokes".

Besides, (fill in the blank, I'm tired of responding to your crap). grin Here's an emoji for you since you like them so much.

Yeah, DeSantis is getting all of the press. Blah, blah, blah.

Meanwhile, Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer is being ignored by the same MSM

In four years she has only:

Signed over 900 bipartisan bills
Submitted 4 balanced bipartisan budgets
Paid down nearly $14 billion of debt
Turned a projected $3 billion deficit into a $7 billion surplus
Fixing 16,000+ lane miles of road and 1,200+ bridges
0 tax increases for Michiganders
$1.6 billion rainy day fund
Secured a $2 billion investment from Ford creating 3,200 jobs
Won a $4.5 billion investment from Stellantis creating 6,433 jobs
Historic investments in education
Announced over 32,550 Auto Jobs

Michiganders rewarded her hard work.

I wouldn't be surprised with her running for prez some day.

I agree about Boebert. So, you don't think Whitmer's job performance had anything to do with her reelection? Seems to me many of her accomplishments are something a fiscal conservative might be interested in.

No doubt Tudor Dixon was not the right R candidate. She was nuttier than MAGA's fearless leader.

BTW, who in their right mind chooses a name like Tudor for your kid? When I hear the name Tudor I think of either a house or this, but his name was Tooter. Guess I'm dating myself, but I will say it's the first cartoon I remember watching when I was three in 1961. Oh Mr Wizard!

Soured on Tudor or Whitmer?

Historically it's an awful place to be an amateur astronomer, that's for sure. BUT, when it is nice it's really nice. I guess we appreciate the nice days more cause there are way too many bad weather days here.

That said, this fall has been the nicest I can ever remember around here. Today is sunny and 71 degrees and its been a fantastic long Indian summer, but the bottom drops out this weekend with highs in the low 40's and it will then be crappy until May.

But a beautiful summer day at a cottage on a lake in northern Michigan is a bit of heaven, unless you are the mean old governor lady who made people wear makes during an epidemic. Then you might be abducted and put on trial by a bunch of kooks.
