This is a forum and a place for one to express their opinions. If others are not interested in reading them, then they can ignore them.

Bush was your target for 8 years. We learned a lot from the left how to react to the news and how it relates to the President. It is now our turn to be the loyal opposition. smile
That's fine Jim, except you need to post some rational arguments to support your unfounded accusations, along with evidence for whatever you do post. So far, your links don't add up for anything you've had to say...

Obama and his cronies believe that asking others to express their opinion, and then giving them the finger is a great way of doing business. When Obama met with Republicans this week, he listened to what they had to say, and then reminded them that he and his lefty buddies control everything so what they say is of no importance. Now he is playing the same game with our neighbors when it comes to the buy American provision of the Democrats "stimulus" plan. Canada complained so he is pretending to listen to those complaints. It will be interesting to see if he backs down, because he is primarily concerned with his image internationally. Or will he give them the finger too as he reminds them that only his opinion really matters? On the oner hand he can help manufacturing in this country and upset others outside the borders, or he can placate other governments and screw American manufacturers. Either way Obama is demonstrating that he is all show and no go. His leftist ideology will repeatedly put him in these no win situations. I expect his minions to be silent and happy with whatever he decides is best for them.

Jim,
JB: "I expect..."
Does anyone really care what YOU expect?
That's about as logical as the rest of your twisted half-baked nonsensical posts that have become your hallmark...

I like to read the sites from the left, many of the antiwar ones have disappeared since the Presidential election. I wonder why? Here are a few that show no pushing for protests on Afghanistan since the election. I can show you many of the protest sites that were against us being in Afghanistan before, but now are just silent.

Jim,
I'm just not seeing it in your posts that you feel provides evidence for what you've stated. I see one guy's opinion piece in the first link and a couple of links that discuss multiple subjects, apparently unrelated to your claims in your posts.
Finally, if Afghanistan had been dealt with properly under Bush, would we have as much to worry about there now?

This looks just like the normal politics of the left. It depends more to them about who the President is than the policy. I know Rod that you have been consistent on your opposition to Iraq and support for Afghanistan from the start. What I am pointing out is not any hypocrisy by you and others who have been consistent on this, but rather the now silent "protest" movement that had no problem blasting Bush on Afghanistan.

It looks like Obama is planning a surge in Afghanistan:

Where is the outrage, protests and statements from the left about how it will not work? I guess the left really does not care about the use of force and the potential for the deaths of young men and women in uniform, it is just politics. When a Republican President commits more troops to improve the success of the US military, it is one thing, and it is radically different when an the inexperienced first black President from the Democrat party does it.

Will the left press for a draft in order for Obama to make sure that there are enough troops? What is the exit strategy? Are these only appropriate questions when a Republican is President?

I am not against the surge, we on the right have ALWAYS supported the troops. Their use is not partisan, but the left's hypocrisy is legendary.
The "deteriorating security situation in Afghanistan" as stated in the article, is a direct result of the misguided policies of the Bush administration that Obama has to deal with along with the global financial crisis, also a by-product of the Bush years of deregulation and cowboy diplomacy.
The last we all looked the terrorists in Afghanistan were actually the ones that attacked us on 9/11 so perhaps that's why you haven't seen an outcry from anyone for attacking the rong country.
Of course there's no need for a draft so why press for one?
An exit strategy for thirty thousand troops? No way! We're just going to leave 'em there forever, Jim. They'll be rotated out like the others just as NATO has done...

Iraqi Voter Turnout: Low

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Jim,
I wanted to see more pictures of those blue-ink stained fingers attached to the happy faces of smiling Iraqis. But, alas, it was not to be.
But I know where I'll get to see plenty of them: at the Bush library...

Iraqi Voter Turnout: Low

Iraq had a dismal voter turnout (less than 50% in some regions):

The usual reasons: Names disappearing from voter rolls, transportation bans, corrupt officials.
Ah yes, we've taught them well...

In one day TWO, yes I said 2 Obama pick drop out. The tax cheat Daschle finally dropped out, and now Obama's pick for Performance Czar has dropped out because she got caught cheating on her taxes. I wonder if this is a record. Chicago politics brought to Washington is a change that libs can count and believe in, but the rest of America expected more. How fun - being the loyal opposition is easy when there is a joke like Obama as President. smile Can't wait to see who is next. Keep up the digging. Eventually we will hopefully find what we need to impeach this guy too. Obama has only been in office for a couple weeks and he is already demonstrating what poor judgment he has. Let's just hope all of his socialist and liberal policies fail as bad as his choices for appointments. grin
I heard Obama accept responsibility today for his choices and he stated "we screwed-up."
Contrast that with the Bush-Cheney response on "Scooter" Libby and on Alberto Gonzales, among others. As usual, the right-wingers and faux conservatives don't acknowledge or take responsibility for what they've done. It's refreshing to see a president learn from some early mistakes and move forward...

Obama and Iran

For those who think Obama is weak on terrorism and won't stand up to Iran, consider this from the country that has the most to fear from a nuclear Iran:
