Re: Has Obama earned your trust, and how?

BO is using every scare tactic that he can muster. He has said that unless the congress does his bidding to spend his billions, then the country may never recover.

So the question is, what has the inexperienced, extremist liberal, first black President done in his entire life that warrants the level of trust that he is asking us to have in his judgment. I guess the libs will trust him because he is one of their own, his skin color or some other useless reason. Others of us see no reason to trust him on anything, and he has shown with his selection of advisers just how poor his judgment actually is.

This con man is pulling out all of the stops to get his hands in your pockets. Do not trust him. Call your senators and congressmen. Tell them to oppose Obama's "stimulus" plan and to oppose any of his other socialistic and liberal hair brained schemes.

So I am curious, has Obama somehow earned your trust in his judgment? If so what specifically has he done to earn that trust?
Jim,
Here's just one of many things he's done to earn our trust, unlike the folks you had voted for who got us into this mess in the first place:

What Got Cut?

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Here's what got cut from the stimulus bill :S I had hoped the expansion of the electric grid would have been cut so we don't waste more billions on useless street lighting but it didn't happen:

Doesn't look like they cut much....

The Scalpel Removes More

The list grows:

An interesting side note: the same naysayers beefed about Bill Clinton's budget and recovery plan when he was president and the political pundits on CNN agreed it worked out just fine (with that nice budget surplus being wiped out by Bush in no time)...

The politics of Census

What do you think? Dangerous? Yes? No?
I just read about this on the Salt Lake City Tribune website last night. Read the comments on that site in response to what their own Republican leaders have been doing, year after year. It makes this look like a walk in the park, and the Republicans from Utah are the ones who are witching about it. Geez...

I find it incredibly odd that he would appoint a Republican as Commerce Secretary, giving the conservatives a bone so to speak, and then quite promptly yank away what is arguably the most important part of his job.

Partisan politics as usual? (Something Obama swore up and down he wouldn't do) or is he just trying to make sure the Census goes right? Or is he trying to make sure the Census goes "left"?

Interested in opinions since this could easily get swept under the rug with all the stimulus talk. I'm wondering if that might not be Obama's plan. Make a little power grab over here while i've directed everyone's attention over there.

Obama's first press conference

I'm also glad he reminded his Republican critics in congress that he inherited a trillion dollar deficit from his predecessor...

Save The Raptor?

Should we save the F-22 Raptor to save jobs?

Well, with all money going down the drain, at least we will have nice airplanes.
I say keep it!

Re: And ANOTHER One Bites the Dust

Yeah, right. I don't believe this guy, who actively campaigned for the job, just got up in the morning and decided he had unresolvable philosophical differences with the president. I believe the Republicans got to this guy and he caved in under pressure. Typical under-handed politics from the party that is what it is: obstructionist, fear-mongering, war-mongering and completely partisan to the core...

Thank You Senator Chris Todd

Posted By Rod Kaufman

CNN reported tonight that Senator Chris Todd slipped in a last minute amendment in the stimulus bill that has corporate CEOs steaming. Besides removing golden parachutes, he reportedly restricts a significant portion of their bonuses to re-investments into stocks of their own companies!Ya gotta love it!...
