I'm thinking there is a significant non-zero chance of this happening...

If he does it’ll show just how much of a narcissist he is. I don’t think he’s ever done anything when he doesn’t think what’s in it for me, so yeah I think he’d do it to keep the grift going as long as he can.

Taking a guy's obituary and can't even control himself long enough to not make it political or personal..

Very classy of you.

Pretty Sad..
Care to threaten me again in a PM? I was just saying Mel was a republican I could still have a honest conversation with, you not so much.

Says a great deal about you.

Pretty sad that you couldn't control your pettiness and anger for a few moments.

Disgraceful IMO.
Care to comment on my statement. I was not disrespecting Mel in any way, I was complimenting him and relating that I have no expectations of you ever being the kind of guy I knew Mel to be. Yes, we disagreed. A lot. But we still liked each other.

Happy Thanksgiving

Posted By Jim Moscheck

I've been too busy at work to post much but have the day off today. Just got the Big Green Egg fired up to 325º and put on a 17 lb. fresh Amish turkey. The kitchen smells great as my wife and daughter/son in law combo are busy making the cornbread stuffing and green bean casserole. My grandkids are playing in the family room. I have a lot to be thankful for. In about an hour I'll watch the Lions/Bills game and dinner is at 5.

I wish all of you guys a great day, too.

Happy Thanksgiving

Posted By Jim Moscheck

I think that was the best turkey I have ever cooked. Just a little hint of hickory smoke along with the lump charcoal. My wife seasoned it like a traditional roast in the oven bird. Once I made the mistake of using a BBQ rub and while it was good it wasn't traditional Thanksgiving turkey. The gravy that time, using the drippings, turned out really smoky. My kids loved it, but I thought it and the rub was too much, especially for the leftovers.

And the Lions almost won, some bad clock management cost them. BUT, they seem to be headed in the right direction for a change.

What hysterical reactions? I’ve been enjoying watching some awesome football all weekend, I guess you are watching MSNBC?

p.s.  Like you, I watched some great football, took two nice hikes and most importantly, watched Purdue men's basketball knock off #6 and #8 ranked Gonzaga and Duke in consecutive games.  Each time by 18+ points!  OMG.  Our freshman ranked in the "over one hundreds" of this recruiting class dominated Duke's top 10 ranked freshman.  And have you seen our center?  Another force of nature...  No MSNBC, Fox, CNN, or Astromart for me this weekend!  No offense to you guys, but far too much better stuff to do!

p.s.s. including a short star party for 7 extended family members.  Too cold for much, but Saturn and Jupiter were splendid.  Saturn of course drew oohs and ahs.  M31 and the double cluster.  We tried Mars, but it was too low in the soup to be that good.   A 12 year old nephew described several colors on Jupiter that I can no longer see in my TEC refractor.  sad  I was impressed.  He also said, without any prompting, that he could see and described some detail in the M31 dust lane (that his parents could not see), "by looking beside the galaxy."  Kid's a natural...
Heck, I'd take Purdue and +65. LOL First half I was worrying, but that second half was Pure Michigan.

I wheeled my dob out of the garage for a bit before the grandkids went home Friday night. Saturn and Jupiter were great, but the star of the show was after they left. I went out to put the scope away about 11pm. Scope had been tracking Mars since about 8:00 and was still in the eyepiece three hours later. It was the best I had ever seen it, the light and dark areas and polar cap were visible in great detail. Seeing was 4.5 out of 5.
