It will just be that he will have managed to pull off a stunning upset, even more so than in 2016.
James,

I agree with you, but I don't think the upset would be all that stunning.  As you point out, the best models show Trump with about a 20% chance of winning.  To put that in context, the odds of flipping a coin three times and getting heads each time are 12.5%.  I seriously doubt anyone would be shocked to flip a coin three times and get heads each time!  Hopefully I didn't just ruin Russ' day ermm

You have to admit, though, it certainly seems like the wheels are not only coming off the bus, the bus is now speeding down the highway to defeat on nothing but rims and a trailing tail of sparks.
Nice visual!

Yes, and I never made commentary about your mom.  I accused you of living in your Mom's basement, which as far as I can tell is quite true.  You went ape-shit and threatened to call the brass.  How pathetic.

No Rich, it's not a lie.  It is all there in the forum, see below.  Arguably you did not go "ape-shit."  That is a very subjective descriptor.  I shudder to think what it might be like if your behavior qualified as "ape shit" in your own mind.  Still, what you said was:

"And I'll tell you this one time and one time only, don't ever bring my dead mother into the conversation, got it bookkeeper.
You don't want to do that, I assure you.  wink
P.S. I'll give you a pass this time, don't do it again."

Maybe not ape-shit, but certainly dark and menacing.  Later on you threatened to call the brass - see below.  I think I did a pretty good job of defusing the situation.

Rich,

My wife showed me this short Jimmy Kimmel mash-up last night.  A co-worker sent it to her.  It is old and you all have probably seen it before.  But in my opinion, love Trump or hate him, this is laugh out loud funny.  (I know that the second "beautiful dog" line is way out of context, but it is very cleverly done.)  I'm curious if you think this is funny too, or just offensive:

Covid-19 data and graphs

James posted the photo meme below in late August.  At the time, I thought it was extremely clever, but of course overstated.  That is the soul of humor.  Here is a data-based perspective I agree with. Originally published in that Trump-supporting rag, The Atlantic.  Your take might vary.  My tolerance for a reasonable level of infections to keep the schools and many businesses open is reasonably high:

Modern and Convenient Voting

Posted By James Brown

Have I mentioned how much I love Colorado's 100% mail-out, mail-in or drop off voting system?  I got an email on Wednesday of last week confirming that my ballot would be mailed soon.  I got another on Saturday, confirming that my ballot had been sent.  Easy peasy.

Court packing

Posted By James Brown

As I've mentioned a couple of times, my vote is not yet cast, but I'm leaning toward Biden.

Without doubt the most likely issue to make me reconsider is the Court packing issue.  After a few cycles of D then R then D control with the attendant packing and re-packing, the Supreme Court will be will be destroyed as the only branch of the Federal Government that is not directly answerable to the shifting tides of public opinion.  Court packing would be the most short-sighted decision ever made by Congress.

This is close to a make/break issue for me.  Biden should not continue to dodge or downplay direct questions about Court packing.

Court packing

I stand by my comments.  The US Federal System is robust enough to handle and flourish under a Biden presidency.  I have great confidence in the US.

I also think (and have thought from the beginning) that Court packing is a horrible idea.  A terrible and dangerous idea for the reasons I have already expressed.  As you certainly know, I have been vocally opposed to Court packing since the issue was first raised.  This makes one wonder why you'd phrase your final question as if I'm, "suddenly worried about Court packing" 1

Sadly, you can not grasp that I can be opposed to many of Biden's policies and still think that he could be the best choice for the US at this point in time.  I'm not asking you to agree, but your mature acknowledgement of a well-articulated contrary point of view would be refreshing.  So it goes.

Biden's willingness to entertain Court packing  is a big issue for me and will inform (among other things) my decision of whom to vote for.

1.  Of course I'm stylizing a bit with my rhetoric here...  No one, absolutely no one, not me or anyone else actually wonders why you would intentionally misrepresent my views.  Misrepresenting other people's views is what you do.  Misrepresenting other people's views is your reason for existence.  It is the core of your being.
