As we all know, president Obama recently opened a diplomatic olive branch to Iran with a videotape released to coincide with the Persian New Year.
Today, we have the "diplomatic" response:

To sum it up, we have to:
1. Atone for all sins against Iran, beginning with our "plot" against them in 1953.
2. Stop our blood-thirsty quests of nation-conquering goals and objectives that have characterized us forever.
3. Recognize the Iranian president for what he truly is: a peace-loving and respected diplomat revered by all nations at all times.
4. Although they didn't ask: how about reparations for everything we've done to them plus reimbursements for tending to our embassy staff during their incarceration?
5. Add your own personalized acknowledgement of their peaceful intentions as they proceed with their nuclear ambitions.
I think that about covers it...

That's fine but I think the question is whether or not Islam is at war with us. In other words, it's a question of reciprocity. In addition, I'm not quite sure who Obama thinks we're fighting in Afghanistan but they're definitely Islamic extremists, you know, the ones that attacked us on 9/11...
