Covid numbers up due to increased testing. So say some......Posted By Greg Shaffer |
I just dont get all the worry over this covid thing.....I dont doubt for a second that the infection rate is rising and probably isnt all explained away by increased testing though that is a definite factor.
I see it like this....it is real, it is here and it isnt going to magically go away. It is seriously dangerous to a small (very small) percentage of the population. One of two things has to happen, herd immunity which I think is probably the most likely path and best path if it doesnt outrun the medical community's ability to handle the load or a highly successful vaccine is successfully created and distributed.
I have not posted about it before but I came down with it myself about 6 or 7 weeks ago..... I am 66 and in pretty decent shape and health, far better than many my age from what I see out there. For me I have had several bouts with the flu that were far worse and far more miserable. I suspect that is true for the majority of cases. 95% of my work is from home and it really didnt slow me down although I did get tired quicker than usual and the congestion was irritating. It lasted a couple of weeks. Best I can tell I am back to normal and have been for at least a month. There are 3 of us here and we all went through it about the same time. It was a little worse for the other 2 but they are heavy smokers and I have not smoked in over 40 years. None of us got anywhere close to seriously ill though.....
Based on my personal experience politics has driven this thing and this country to mostly ridiculous levels.....
