Norman Vincent Peale has been advocating this for decades!

Old saying, "Change your thinking, change your life."
also, "Do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten."

Take a look at Mindspring and Silva Mind Control. Both advocate imagery to bring about changes in your life.

What really gets me is if you ask almost anybody, "Can you easily make your life worse?" they will almost without exception answer "yes"!

Reverse the situation and ask if they can make it better, they'll have to really stop and think about how they could possibly do that.

The two questions are exactly the same and the answers to both should be a profound "YES"

You, in many, many, ways make your own reality each and everyday. If you want a crappy life just wake up everyday with a crappy self-defeating attitude and, violä, you'll get exactly that!

Afterlife

I may not be conventionally religious but I do believe in and afterlife. Why? Let me tell you a true story.

Two years ago my brother-in-law passed away at Christmas time. He had purchased a pre-owned home, and the previous owner had installed a new air conditioner just before he moved in.

Two months after he passed away, his wife did a total clean out in a garage sale of everything that was his or reminded her of him. By Saturday afternoon, anything that was left went to the good will or the garbage including their framed wedding certificate.

The total "hall" on that sale was $965. That afternoon the compressor on the AC burned up for the total bill of $935. Considering the money spent on the ad in the newspaper there wasn't much left as surplus.

I can only feel that he, from the other side, felt that, "If you're going to dump me, you're not going to profit from it." I think he zapped the AC.

Considering the age of the fairly new air conditioner there was zero reason for it to crap out, and to crap out on the exact day that all his belongings were sold off.

Coincidence, well maybe, but it seems to me unlikely.

Somehow this just doesn't make any sense to me at all.

Here's a state that is loosing population like it has the plague. So what does it do; ban abortions!
