First Light SXV-H16 - Cocoon Nebula and surrounds

Posted By Larry Durst

Rick,
The only word I can come up with is my son's favorite adjective: "Awesome!" It's an image that seems to have it all and then some: incredible stars, nebula, dark lanes. I'm drooling over the camera, as well, but was wondering if Terry Platt can program in some of your processing skills wink .
Can't wait for more,
Larry

David,
You sure are a fast learner! That's a spectacular image. I was actually very impressed with that single frame--very smooth.

FSQ meets Omega Centauri

Greg,
I had to squint when I opened that image--talk about capturing stars! (And processing them down to the core.)
Wonderful,

Just tweaked this one a bit more for more highlights in the bright areas. Was it even worth the difference?

Keith,
Great job! I do think the stars resolve better at prime than with the Atik, no? Seems like you're enjoying the camera.
Can't wait for more,

Help burst my "bubble" or: just what did I shoot?

Posted By Larry Durst

Had my question answer: IC1470 in Cepheus (even had the wrong neighborhood) is the bright spot in the middle.
