I just have to ask...

Will anyone here actually admit to watching Keith Olbermann? I mean like sit down and watch him for an hour, nod in agreement and give your buddies high-fives for his brilliant oratory?

I don't know who he is and I've never listened to him. 8O

Rope-A-Dope?

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Is Obama employing Ali's strategy in allowing extremists in both parties to knock themselves out in the beginning and middle rounds while he cleans up with a knockout on healthcare overhaul?
An interesting perspective:

And, in the meantime: 6 lobbyists per lawmaker? That's six on your 6, firing sidewinders, phoenix missiles, AWACS, helicopter gunships, mavericks, hellfire missiles...

Bush Voters Gone Bananas

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Conservative Republicans are stomping mad. The president of the United States, of all people, wants to address the children of all of the school districts of the country in a non-partisan speech asking them to set goals they can meet to help themselves in their education. With a drop-out rate of 30%, who would figure any president would do that. But wait, there's more: George H Bush did the same thing and Ronald Reagon gave a pointedly political speech in the same manner during his presidency. And OH MY GOD, the president initially planned to ask the children of America to for their help in his presidency. I wonder what all of these conservative Republicans would say if Obama gave the same speech as George H Bush or Ronald Reagon and they found out after the fact...

Wal Mart Backs Obama Healthcare

I almost fell out of my chair when I read it but Wal Mart is doing a 180 and is supporting Obama on health care:

Another "Same Old Reason" for Overhaul

It looks like the HMOs are up to their same old Republican dirty tricks, year after year, decade after decade, until they are stopped.
I recall several years ago I had some routine lab tests for a general physical examination pre-approved by my HMO carrier. I went in and had the tests which were normal and a month or so went by when I started receiving bills for the tests. I called the lab who told me to call my HMO who told me they'd investigate it. I had to resort to filing a complaint with the state insurance board alleging breech of contract before the HMO would comply and pay for the lab tests they had originally approved for me. The whole ordeal lasted about six months during which time the HMO collected premiums and instead of paying the bills it with held the money, drawing interest upon it or investing it as it deemed necessary for its own good.
Looks like the doctors and hospitals are simply getting more of the same...

Our chief of socialism, masquerading as our president, has again spawned a diabolical plot designed to undermine our own destinies. This time it's forced savings with AUTOMATIC enrollment in retirement plans!

Predictions of future glory

It was just a few short months ago when the idiot won the White House and Dems took complete control of all levels of government. Here on this forum libs were predicting the end of the Repub party and their clan leading this country forever. They were predicting growing solid majorities as far as the eye could see. They believed that the public would never again vote for anyone except their candidates. They were so proud of their first black President. They knew that with full lib control of everything, they would soon make America the nirvana that libs have long dreamed of - no racism, no poverty, no big businesses, perfect ecology, no poor, ...

How times have changed. America has seen the devastation that libs inflict on the country after just a short time. The leftists are scared.

Political survival will be high on lawmakers' minds when the Democratic-led U.S. Congress returns to work on Tuesday amid widespread voter dissatisfaction with its performance.

Surveys find voters have a dim view of both parties, but history suggests Obama's Democrats face greater risks because they control Congress and the White House.

"There's a lot of discontent out there and when that's the case the party in power pretty inevitably gets the blame," said Dean Debnam of Public Policy Polling, a private firm.

We need to keep the pressure up on the libs until election day next year. We are in the election cycle, and the only thing that libs care more about than screwing the country is keeping their jobs in Washington and the power that comes with it. This means doing our part to help stop the insane liberal policies of Obama and his Marxist friends.
"Dems took complete control of all levels of government." Let me see, there's governing bodies of townships, cities, counties and states and the Democrats have complete control of all of them? :S

Beats me! Did any of you actually watch the school speech? Did Obama stick to the script?

Jim
From what I saw on CNN, Obama did did not stray from the goals and objectives of his speech, did not use a teleprompter and drew praise from some conservatives, including Newt Gingrich. As the CNN reporter remarked, the Republicans in Florida must be feeling pretty silly by now...

A Superb Speech by Obama

I liked his proposal on a market place interchange for healthcare insurance, quite innovative and ought to appeal to both Republicans and Democrats.
