Whod'a thunk it??  silly
Hmmm.  A lot of those polls are turning out to be accurate though.  GA, VA, etc.  Are you feeling confident, Rich?  Without AZ Trump needs MI or WI and PA.  J

If you can't, let me inform you as to why they might just do that.

Here's a theory.  They might do that to discourage Republicans from going to the polls.  Many Repubs would simply say "what's the point, Biden's going to crush him anyway so my vote doesn't matter"

Did that thought ever cross your mind?

P.S. Trump could lose in the next couple of days, but it sure doesn't seem like he's going to get blown out of the water as all these pollsters told us he would.
Yes, that though has crossed my mind.  I think the opposite is more likely though.  Polls that heavily favor Biden might depress D turnout ("we have it in the bag" ) while motivating R get-out-the-vote efforts.  So I think the opposite of your theory might be what we have seen this year and in 2016.  In either case, I don't think the pollsters have a thumb on the scale.  I do think that the polling industry has not adapted to our polarized times and new-tech world very well.

Wow, this is close.  I am exhausted, how about you?  I stayed up for Trump's speech.  One of the worst and least gracious speeches of all time, in my opinion.

I am very pleased that the Senate might not flip.  That alone would be a huge win in my book, assuming it prevents court packing.  I have not looked closely at the vote totals yet, but WI is moved slightly into Biden's column, they say however, that Milwaukee is at 100% tally.  PA sure seems out of reach, but they have only mail-in ballots to count....

Personally, I have hoped for a R Senate and a Biden win.  Will that come to pass?  Time will tell.

Yes, that much is true for sure.

I know that you are asking Rich, but she's not in my district.  So no, I did not vote for her.  I did vote for the
R in Denver.  Poor chap, I don't even know his name.  He's just the biennial cannon fodder for our lifetime D incumbent, Dianna DeGette.

True story - when I was a Rubio delegate to the Denver County "convention" in 2016, the chair asked for a show of hands to see if anyone would volunteer to run against DeGette.  I sat on my hands...  but... I could a been a contender!

I think you are right Russ, if Biden's lead in MI and WI holds up, Trump loses by 2 EC votes even if he gets PA and GA.  Think about how close this is!  What if Trump hadn't been such an ass in the first debate, would he have won?  (Assuming he loses of course).   Or would Trump behaving during the first debate (like he did in the second debate) have cooled the enthusiasm of his most ardent supporters?  There are so many ways to dissect this.

And the markets are in full-on rally mode.  When I went to bed, I was thinking that we would crash today, because of the uncertainty.  I guess the markets like divided government!

Speaking of wasted time, do you really think this is the proper way to encourage a discussion Rich?  Yeah Yeah, I know.  Once upon a time Jim M. insulted your dad...  But seriously, the best part of a Biden presidency is that we R's can now try to reconcile with our D brethren and we Rs can take the moral high ground now and then.  It all starts here!

Hell of a lot tighter than I would have thought though......

PA is another animal though.....given the weird rules they put in place there I imagine that one will be decided in the courts.....

As for the polls leading up to this election.....they shot themselves in the foot BADLY lol
Hi Greg:

I agree, but PA is not important if Biden holds MI and WI.  Unless my math is wrong.  I think WI, MI and AZ put Biden at exactly 270 EVs.

Hi Greg - another thought.

Let's assume that one or maybe both GA senate races go to a runoff.  I am counting on the R voters coming out in mass.  The R advertising campaign is easy peasy:  "Vote for the D's if you are in favor of massive tax hikes, Supreme Court packing and bailing out liberal cities.  Otherwise vote R."

In my estimation, the Rs crush any Senate runoffs.  Especially since there is no Trump on the ballot to vote against.

What do the locals think?
