I'll call him an intellectual pussy and coward.

If you find that fact offensive, well too bad counselor.
Technically, I don't find it offensive.  I find it to be immensely counter-productive.  We all view the forum a bit differently.  I like the participants and like dialog.  For example, Greg can offer insights into Georgia that I can't really get from the press.  Not sure whether you like the participants or not, but you sure don't seem to like dialog much.  So you and I are at cross-purposes.

No worries.  It is still a free country!

Understood.  Fox did seem to call AZ early, when CNN refused to call anything, even FL and TX until really late.  I am not sure what the fuss is about though.  So what if a station "calls" a race early?  Seriously, the stations "calling" a race is meaningless.  So long as the polls are closed in that state, no big deal.

The Senate

Posted By James Brown

Michigan is too close to call.  But even if the Rs lose Michigan and the GA runoff, they ought to get to 51 Senators.  Whew...

This data is tabulated by me, from the Associated Press.  Should be self-explanatory.  I will update now and then if anything changes.

That's what I think too.  So I see the Senate as R 52/48 or 53/47, depending on who wins Michigan.

I think I said that in the context of GA and VA.  They got a lot of states right and it surprised me.  GA for example.

Of course.  I think that both parties are capable of fraud.  I think our system is pretty robust though (I know you love that word).  so I doubt any fraud arises to the level of affecting an outcome.

I'd listen to any concrete allegations of fraud for sure.  I have not seen anything along those lines.

Nate Silver said that a 2016-sized polling error could mean two things - a landslide for Biden or a too close to call election.  All depending on the direction of the error.  I think that article is still up on the 538 web page.  So, his model was pretty good, but for the bad polling data that he input into the model.

I do agree the tone of most media pundits was that it would be a Biden landslide.  Silver seems to be an exception.  That is why I've always given his work a lot of weight.

I preferred it when Rich called me, "The One."  That stroked my ego big time.

Hi Patrick:

Good to see you again.  Were you shocked at the early VA returns, or was it obvious to the residents that Fairfax etc. had yet to report?
