"A Flood of Govt Stimulus Money Lifted..."

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"After bottoming out in March, stocks have rallied broadly as a flood of government stimulus money has helped the economy emerge from one of the deepest recessions on record."

Of course, you can always believe in what the Republican leadership tells you instead: "it would have happened anyway". And their minions unquestionably believe it, too. Then again, they believe in the Easter bunny and the good ship lollipop...

Obama Comes Clean

On failures leading to the security fiasco:

That's certainly refreshing and a definitive change from the previous administration that would rarely, if ever, admit its own mistakes...

The intelligence agencies obviously continue to operate as separate and distinct fiefdoms and fail to share information. If there's a silver lining to the incident, perhaps it will function as a wake up call and improvements will be added to correct the deficiencies identified in the aftermath.
Frankly, with government bureaucrats in charge at various levels, it's amazing that we've been as safe as we have been, or perhaps we've just been lucky. Or, perhaps some problems just can't be fixed and every so often we'll just have stop and clean up the body parts and go on, as the Israeli's do...

The Ones We Did Get

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Here's the top ten list of the terrorist plots in the US that we did get, as per the FBI:

Of course, we don't hear much about it when something positive happens. BTW, any doubts about all of them involving the religion of peace?

I think we ought to hire some of their people and put them in charge of our airports. It's the only way to be sure...

Napolitano: Terrorists Went To 'Great Lengths'...

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Mike Strieber said:

Napolitano: "Friday's attempted terrorist attack against Northwest Flight 253 near Detroit is a powerful illustration that terrorists will go to great lengths to try to defeat the security measures..."

Sure they did Janet. Let's see, just how cunning were they?

-They use a young kid who bumbles his way through trying to detonate an explosive in his panties.
-They use a guy who has been denied a British visa.
-They use a guy on a US terrorist watch list.
-They use a guy whose father warned US intelligence services and the US Embassy about.
-The terrorist paid with cash.
-He bought a one-way ticket.
-He was on an overseas flight and had no checked luggage.

Clearly a very sophisticated attack, eh Janet? Planned no doubt by someone with inside knowledge of airport security procedures. My god this woman is clueless. What does it say for Obama who still has the utmost confidence in her?

BTW, Chuck Todd of NBC News suggested the other day that Janet Napolitano is on the top of Obama's list for the next opening in the Supreme Court.
Mike
Along these lines, CNN just reported Obama had a blunt message for the intelligence community given all that has happened. One of the intelligence chiefs reportedly stated it was a strong message that was hard to take. What did he expect, a pat on the back? And, er, ah, you're doing a great job Brownie?
I don't have much faith with government bureaucrats doing their jobs. IMO, you've got two choices at the airport: Israelification or Islamification. Take your pick...

There's been more than enough debate on this. Where have you been? And do you really think the party of no is going to change its position? We already know what they think, we've already heard their "death panel" BS, so there's no mystery about it.
Geez...
